Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wow. An event to support a cancer charity is a resounding success, and that’s what you take away from it?

    Yes...of course.

    Welcome to After Hours BTW.

My friend asked me to take part as it was raising money for a breast cancer charity and also to mark ten years since we took part in Spencer Tunick’s nekkid art project in Dublin.

But I passed due to being self-conscious about my weird left boob (no nip) and because my 35 year old body ain’t my 25 year old one.

Damn right , how dare those women attempt to raise money for a cancer charity and break a world record.

I think a male charity skinny dip would be accepted. It’d be a well-controlled event. Nobody had any issues with men stripping off for Spencer Tunick that I can recall. It’s a shame that gender is brought into everything on boards.

How they managed to get there is an achievement.....

There is room for about a dozen cars, max out on the road.

It's also a shame that more people will now know about Wicklow's best beach.

Not too sure it'll be ranked as the best in the future what with all the very distressing images of the beached whales

Ireland’s really loosened up though and it’s great that we have.

Not much more than a couple of decades you’d have scandalised the curtain twitchers who used to dominate everything here with something like this.

Nowadays nobody even bats an eyelid.

I had my name down for it but couldn't go, due to a conflicting engagement.
    Sunscreen was supplied, I believe.
Ain't no supermodel but strip down well enough, considering.
It was for charity, why don't yez all send them a few bob?

The old generic term "cancer charity".

Might as well set your money on fire,at least you'd get some heat out of it.

    You clown.

Do some research on the charity involved.

The thing about tasteless humour is that it has to be, y'know funny

AH jokesters have got the tasteless part down really really well at this point, but at some point they have got to start working on actually being funny.

All these mass nudey things are for people to say look—- let’s all eat ice cream— we are all doing it so don’t worry.

It’s like big feminist women checking that none of the other feminist women are cheating on the ice cream union plan.

Put some clothes on and go get a husband the lot of ye I say.

Was this a proper skinny dip..... or an 'Irish' skinny dip? :)

    Aka wearing some clothing.

Remember the 'no makeup selfie' craze. Completed with visible makeup.

Well, you could safely say this wouldn't have happened in 1950. Imagine being an After Hours male and out for a stroll along the coast in Wicklow yesterday only to come across 2,500 naked women screaming as they break a world record for being naked.

Women break Guinness World Record for largest skinny dip

Skinny dip: World record broken on County Wicklow beach

    I feel so old :(

11 years is nothing; I remember Paddynet, Virtual Irish Pub, MIRC Chat, ICQ Chat and when Excite! was the main discussion forum online. When Netscape Navigator was the main browser and when the Norwegian company Opera introduced the first browser as Gaeilge. Windows 95 on a Gateway computer using a Netscape Navigator browser with the infuriating contention of an Eircom connection between 6pm and 8pm every evening will never be forgotten - neither will the massive Eircom bills.

There might even be people still alive today who remember The Well.
