Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not mine but went out with the local club to watch the first test flights of these monsters:

Both weigh in around the 16.5kg mark, require proper certification before they can be freely flow and are huge. The sky crane is 2.3 meters long, 6 blades and really cool sounding elec motors. The other has a 110cc petrol engine and even the pilot is modelled inside it.

Yep I still get out for a casual fly every now and then. I've not gotten deep into it though, just a few PZ warbirds.

Can you fly those anywhere or do you need to go to a model club for them as well?

    .
I'm a member of two flying clubs and have MACI insurance.
But If you own your own land and can safely fly over your land ,
    You could fly them there...
I would encourage people to join a flying club..

    Your up in the city.

My good wife bought me this for Christmas. Bad news, first flight, I managed to take an inch off one of the blades, cracked the canopy and bent one of the balance bars. Good news, the spare parts are cheap and readily available on the internet. Looking forward to getting it back in the air.

I'm still finding my feet really with these models but enjoy them a lot.

Over the last couple of years some of the picture links in this thread have gone bad.

So during the coming week or more I propose to do a little Moderator housekeeping and I will delete the posts containing dead end links.

If you have a post or several of them in this thread, it would be great if you can recheck your posts, and fix any bad links, or repost the picture if necessary.

So let's say I wait for a week before starting the clean up process. That gives time to fix any dud picture links before I begin deleting posts affected.
