I seen that on Facebook just now looks good. I was just about to post in the Motors chat thread if anybody here owned it. I remember you posting about it a few times the past while but had forgotten.

You'd have more pictures but photobucket is being a pain. I love, great car.

    1.4, might even be carb

Mate had one like that back in the day.

Weren't they all fuel injected once they got the facelift? The facelift was around the time everything had to get fuel injection because catalytic converters became mandatory. Pre-facelifts were definitely carbs as standard.

    Car looks great btw ba_baraus!

Thanks, no plans, I want to keep it stock. Only thing I have planned is a full service and replace the worn STi boot badge with a pink one. In fact, there's an aftermarket dump valve in it and I'm going to take it out and put in an OEM recric valve.

It's probably the most stupid idea I've ever had but I'm going to daily it for a while :) but I don't do massive mileage so running costs shouldn't be outrageous. I've been driving high powered petrols for a while now and plan on doing so for as long as I possibly can.

It's the 1.4 Energy engine. It's quiet nippy feeling tbh.

There was still carb models on the facelift called TR models. Very rare new however. They still had points etc.

Ha! Cheers dude. I've had it for years but it's been in storage for about the last four.
I've renewed pretty much every part of it along the way.
Next up is an intake manifold from an Accord type R and a new ECU. They're in the boot.

Is it a UK model? What's the idea of new ECU, aftermarket one or is there something wrong with the one you have?

It is indeed a UK model, one owner before me and a full main dealer history.
I needed a new ECU because the ATR injectors are bigger and need more fuel put to them than the stock ones. I've also lowered the Vtec point slightly and raised the rev limit slightly too.

I recognise the E36. You photograph all the shows in Munster and beyond if I'm right? You should put the link to your Instagram up, well worth following.

I'm nearly tempted to quote the pics of your 'Lude TT. :) Bloody hell that looks gorgeous. Dead jealous of the paint job. Wow. One of these days...

yllw.ldbttr gorgeous car. Holy god the paint. Looks about an inch thick. The interior looks great, though I fear I'd be dribbling in appreciation and not being able to work a damn thing in about equal measure. #ludditehere :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Seems I made a mess of posting pictures on Saturday so here they are.

Anyway, it's back from a respray and just as good* as ever. The central locking has stopped working on 1 door but hopefully not too big a faff to sort.

I now have a working radio as I finally got the code online. It'll soon also have a Renault boutique period mobile phone fitted once it arrives for added appeal.

Parts needed are now down to the door top rubbers, fob and receiver box for the central locking and a new radio with all it's buttons still intact.

It's booked in for a ceramic coating to be applied towards the end of the month.

Did you spray it youself? It looks great. I had the model previous in a non vtec, I loved it but wanted the vtec. I almost bought one like yours in the after but didn't! They were a steal at one stage, a whole load of car for the money.

Well I don't think the detailers need to worry about me stealing their business, but I'm nonetheless happy with what I did this afternoon:)

My E60 after a full detail last week. Have new 19" wheels waiting for tyres when all this blows over to go on her, too.
