Happy with that.think jackie will step up now he's back starting. Personally I really like bolger and would have him over Farnell. Really big and strong half forward line (can't see any tippy toppy hurling there)let's go 3 in a row.

Any idea whether Dublin will play with a sweeper? I imagine they will try quick puckouts and a short passing game. Eamon Dillon and Mark Shutter will be their danger men, really impressed with Dillon.

Don't think they will play a sweeper. Stop there tippy tappy game and drive on.hope we can ein this and drive on.alot of people looking for us to falter.especially after 21s and minors. Waterford tipp clare all talked up over us,yet were the team going for 3 in a row.

I hope the half backs are drinking with you :)

    I'm happy with the team.

I'm confident that the full-back line will be a lot, lot better than when they got the roasting from Clare. I think Jackie will be able to give a high level performance. Delighted to see Conor Fogarty, Mick Fennelly and Larkin back. Fingers crossed Mick Fennelly is in relatively good condition.

The subs bench is weak though. It wouldn't strike much fear into the Dublin players.

Hope they drag Jackie out the field - the furthest he is from his own goal the better. Like to see Lester play well on the hard ground but really hope it rains incessantly for 48 hours

Dublin generally play into the corners.

Tyrell had a hard time following Dillon in the league if memory serves, will he mark him again? He'd be better on O'Callaghan.

Good team though. They're capable of strangling Dublin out the field and making such worries academic imo.

Shut up corny. you are giving the game away!

Seriously though, I reckon it could be interesting match. League game was meaningless for both so is irrelevant for Saturday.

Would be fearful that if Dublin try going short Cats will just close them down. Cunningham ought to remember that from the early noughties!

But I give us a chance. Rushie on Fennelly be worth the entrance fee alone.

That'll be a good battle alright, two big men, old school stuff. Hope we get a full 70 from Mick fennelly, would agree the cupboard is nearly bare on the bench but would like to see Kelly get a decent run.

    Will be good Realt.

To be honest I think we missed any chance we had in 2013.

This is good honest bunch though and Cunningham seems to have convinced them of a plan.

As for us oul fellas, any day we be even considered competition for the stripey fellas is good day!

    Square Bar Saturday?

Unfortunately I'll be watching in the Fado bar in Chicago, surrounded by English soccer fans in all probability.

    There are better options surely?

I see most of you are very happy with the team named but personally I think this sends out one very clear signal - Cody doesn't rate anyone coming through. He's very much sticking with what he knows here despite the fact a number of players are short on match fitness. I think it shows a real lack of faith in any of the lads on the bench which must be a worry for the future. I'm not criticising the lads picked but if Cody doesn't think the lads on the bench are a better option now when he is down to the bare bones in terms of experience and match fitness then it doesn't bode well for them.

He has beyond a shadow of a doubt picked the 14 best players avalable to him. Also compared to elsewhere that bench is not so shabby at all.

Really hope to see Mark Bergin feature and get some game time. He is a serious talent and playing with a series vain of form. Going very well in there by all accounts and thats reflected in him making the 26 even though he has only joined the panel recently.

Mark is one of the reasons why that bench is not shabby at all.

But a caveat to your argument (I think) is that we don't know how the players are performing in case KK training. It will always be an unknown, but we have to assume that it is a critical factor (for Cody) when selecting the team.

A player who is short in match fitness, might have been performing very well in KK training. Another player, who maybe played club matches recently or a KK NHL match, might be quite poor in KK training in the last few weeks.

There's no bar I know of likely to be playing our match and not the euros.

Cubs are in Atlanta, but if you want to slum it, the White Sox are in Comiskey playing Kansas.

Their best pitcher Quintana is due to start.

Sticks and a small ball, surely no choice for a Cat!

Just watched last years All Ireland on tg4. What a poor All Ireland final, wrapping up a poor championship bar one game. I have a feeling that this year's championship won't be much better. Too many tactics these days, emphasising defence which is having a negative effect on goal mouth action and the overall enjoyment of the game. Go out and play 15 on 15 for f**k sake

Harder done than said. Coming over from football, the sweeper is endemic in club hurling even. Not pretty but it'll be here for a while no matter how much the supporters complain.

    It's a results driven game!

Long puck outs to the half forwards will be the objective. Target their half back line from the first whistle and put them on the back foot!

Looking forward to seeing us in action . pundits writing us off (again)waterford tipp flavour of the month yet were double champions. Many counties looking for us to go into the qualifiers. Hopefully the hunger is still there in this great group of men.
