I can't even have two tabs open on the browser or it's nearly too hot to hold.

That's very bad, id have a few apps running and multiple taps open without issue

I dont have any issues at all with my S7 edge, does get hot when playing netflix or youtube but thats about it.

Mines perfect most days but it picks an odd time to just get roasting and kills its battery, normally get 24hours heavy use from the battery but when this happens a couple of hours max

Just ordered from t-dimension how long was your shipping time?

About a week door to door.

Just a heads up, my wife has the S7 and was complaining about her battery the other day. It drained to 15% in about 4 hours of very very light use. I checked her battery stats and Facebook was the app that had taken over 70% of the battery. I told her to delete the app and now her battery is back working perfectly.

no root needed really, i just used odin to fresh install PC8 but do backup your data first as i wanted a complete wipe. You can back up everything (internal storage) using Samsung Smart switch PC version. once backed up you can do the downgrade pretty simple.

    Smart switch pc version

As for Odin there are guides online how to use it properly.

Again do the back up first before attempting the downgrade.

I'm cursed with phone screens, especially when they are new! just noticed a hairline scratch on my screen already! Same happened on the first week of owning my S4 three years ago!

I replaced the screen on my S4 about a year and a half ago (smashed), and never had another scratch!

Bloody annoying! Can't understand how it happened. Same jeans pocket fir the last few days and I work in an office! So much for new and improved gorilla glass!

Ah I was just wondering if there was firmware and apps I need to delete off the phone that's only taking up space

If you got a sim free model, the S7 has less bloatware than previous incarnations.

Did you order from the site or their eBay page? No tracking no. or shipment confirmation yet...

I know others have had success but I'll be nervous about getting stung with a customs charge until I have it in my hands! :p

I got my one on Tuesday and I had to delete all the Vodafone stuff, which includes the protection anti virus stuff. I ended up having to text "remove" to 50193.
    Any recommendations for anti virus?
