BTW how many business meetings did you conduct?

About 4 a week. 1 which is from home and I have a babysitter minding my son at that time. Why?

It just came across like you never had to deal with impromptu meetings. That's all.

Anyway it doesn't matter, my point stands that they are selling their lifestyle, kids are part of it, if you want something professional you should pay subscription to Which magazine.

I confess I do like the little insiders into the bloggers life now and again. But when the blogger has the snapchat account called by the blog name and the content is more personal and not so much blog related, it is a little bit hard to click unfollow when they sometimes actually show blog content that you do like and is quality. (If that makes any sense!!) You kind of have to wade through the snaps to find some quality.

I guess people buy pre worn swimwear now. That's interesting.

    Book sales must be slow

Selling clothes is one thing but swimwear is just odd. Dry cleaned or not. Might as well just sell your worn knickers.

There's big business in well worn knickers!

I've noticed lately that a few of the top bloggers, who seem to have a huge following on their social media pages, only get a few likes on a lot of their posts? Do they really have 100k+ followers or are they buying followers? It doesn't add up. I noticed one blogger in particular only getting 20 or 30 likes on numerous posts, one after another. Surely you would be clocking up more likes than that?!

Hilarious....who the hell is buying second hand bikinis? Gross!

I do like depop and use it regularly.

It does bug me when bloggers don't put up where the item is from. I know it's buyer beware but young girls will buy any crap aka Penney's sun dress that you can buy right now.

The red haired new York blogger has a great depop page, though clothes a couple sizes too small for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 444 ✭✭scarbouro

I get using Depop for items of clothing that may be no longer available from a collection or high end store but to go to the bother of selling Penny's gear is just ridiculous.

And buying /selling swimwear is a big no go for me!! Who the hell would want to wear someone else's bikini bottoms! That is really gross.

Yeah the Calvin Klein underwear will be up soon!!

To be fair to the blogger in question she wasn't planning on selling her bikinis, a number of people asked her on social media if she would sell them so if she's does sell them it's because the demand was there! Some people bring a different bikini for each day on holidays, sure just a few hours wear really.

Ive noticed that too. But what I've also noticed, even after doing a big clear out on my social media, is that Facebook and Instagram posts just don't show or feature in my newsfeed. It's to do with Internet algorithms, what Facebook wants you to see or not see and also depends on what pages you interact with.

I thought that she asked if people wanted to buy them and then screenshot if they did want to.....maybe not though as that's not on the snapchat story...weird...anyway. Yeah that's a fair point, and maybe some people are comfortable wearing other people's bikini bottoms...
Must get myself on depop, I've a load of stuff that needs shifting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 98 ✭✭Unreg0909

Sorry it was actually on Instagram that she asked if people wanted her to sell the swimwear and then said hundreds of people had said yes. Sure whatever, have to admire her ballsiness in fairness.

She said that she dry cleans everything she sells on Depop. But she's sending the stuff out this morning. She got back yesterday. The stuff clearly isn't dry cleaned. That's the buyers' choice. But she shouldn't bother lying about it.

Couldn't believe how fast the stuff sold out according to her snapchat.
Like most of those clothes are newlook/penneys/general high street. And some of them are still in stock in the shops. I don't understand the demand by people!
And who are these people wanting second hand bikinis ugh gross! they are so cheap would you really want someone elses seconds!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 348 ✭✭hearmehearye

A friend just showed me her snaps trying to explain her clean clothes situation... I really got a laugh out of the line "as a blogger I can only wear things once".

    Um, why?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 856 ✭✭✭idunno78

She clearly said that she drycleans everything in a comment on Instagram. Is now saying its dresses and bikinis that are dry cleaned. Fair enought if they are just washed normally but state that they are!
I don't get people buying stuff of bloggers when it's still in the shops! I'm sure with postage it's adds up to the same cost and at least you can try it on! It might be stunning on them but not suit you at all!! Think people just buy because they can say this was such and suchs 'item'.
Also buying a pre worn bikini..... NO!! Gross.

But the blogger doesn't say where the clothes are from when she's selling them. For all you know you could be overpaying for a penneys top or dress.

Are you saying thats why people buy the stuff cos she doesn't say where the item is from? I don't get you?
The funny thing is I have heard her say a few times that she has names of where she bought items tagged as always! But certain items don't get tagged and when people ask she does not answer!

My biggest problem with a lot of the beauty bloggers are their lack of knowledge/lack of research when it comes to new product releases and techniques. It seems unless the brand is sending them stuff they just won't be mentioned.
Too Faced has had loads of new releases over the last year and are very easily accessible in Ireland but rarely talked about by the mosy popular bloggers.
Colorpop, Lipland, Becca, Sigma, makeupgeek, huda, Morphe, etc. A lot of these can be got here and with parcel motel it's really easy to get stuff over from the states.

Yes so true. You never hear them review anything only stuff they are sent. That's why the UK bloggers like Fleur and Lily Pebbles are a cut above in my opinion; yes the get sent stuff to review also, but they frequently go into space nk and the like and buy products themselves and review them.

Just saw that ones snaps there she clearly says everything has been dry cleaned. Then when someone questions it she takes a condescending tone and is saying "anything worn for a few hours wouldn't be dirty so wouldn't need a dry clean". How mank, you do sweat love!!

Sounds like she's right cranky with whoever asked the question. A genuine good question I think personally. Because she didn't dry clean it all. But lied saying everything on her de-pop was dry cleaned until someone asks the question and then "addresses everyone" as if she's in the right! Hilarious!!

God help us! What will they do when the blogging bubble bursts!

I sort of thought that myself... Like, you're in 25+ degrees, dancing, drinking, wearing fake tan and sunscreen... And doing God only knows what people do in Ibiza... So I'd like to think that even if an item had just been thrown on to run out and pay the pizza man it's at least been washed...

I don't care if they were worn by Beyoncé I would not want someone's second hand bikini how gross. Whoever bought her used swimwear needs to have a long hard look at themselves.
