It was massive if I remember correctly, you'll be reading it for a week!

You're absolutely right, that's what made it even more shocking. The venom they were spitting out was unbelievable.

Me too, he may be a sanctimonious prick with a god complex, but he sings other people's songs well.

He is more of a poor man's Big Tom I would say.

shìtting in people's gardens, píssing in their letter boxes etc.

I think you would find that it was the residents claiming that.

Great craic altogether. Labelled like animals.

Actually there were posters on here who said they would happily do it.

I don't see what the problem is. They were labelled as animals anyhow.

You don't see a problem with ****ting in someone's garden? I don't even know where to begin.

I'm a fool so. If he does come next year, I'll be there. I did get tickets last time and subsequently got a refund. These things happen

I'm a fan and know how enjoyable his concerts are, so I would rather be in Croke Park than protesting at home

I can't stand him, but I'll be buying up all the tickets I can get with a view to cleaning up on ebay, now that i know just how many "admirers" the hatted one has amongst our less-cerebrally gifted fellow-citizens. PM me now to go on my list!

Now you're just taking the píss (pun intended) some of the threats people were making whilst foaming at the mouth were unbelievable. They sounded like savages.

The GB fans were not labeled as animals, one if the residents complaints was that fans (be it music, GAA, etc) piss and sh/t all.over the place like animals.

Threats of wing mirrors getting kicked off cars, shìtting in people's gardens, píssing in their letter boxes etc. .

That's only when the GAA is on.

Garth fans will landscape everybody's gardens, build an orphanage for blind children and spontaneously valet strangers' cars en-route to the concerts.

This comes under the remit of his children's charity, The Touch 'Em All Foundation.

I can't actually believe that's real, even though I know it is.

    Someone's touched alright.

Does this mean we have to listen to another 6 months of people talking constantly about something they claim to either hate or have no interest in?

    Seconded.

I was on the side of the residents last time because the unilateral breaking of the agreement regarding the number of events was wrong.

But if everything goes by the book this time, then what's the problem really.

If you're gonna tell people that all garth brooks fans piss and sh!t all over the place like the residents were making out. Why can't they act like animals?

How long ago was Garth in Croke Park? 1997?

I'm sure U2 had more people p!ssing all over the place over the years than Garth had.

There was talk of bringing a Conor McGregor's fight to Croke Park and the whiny whinebags the residents were making out that the fight will attract a rough crowd and they were going to object if it ever came to Croke Park. Where do they get their ideas?

Care to show where the residents said this about GB fans seeing as the concerts never took place?

Ah you know damn well that they spouted this crap before the concerts were cancelled.

Just a quick google and this came out a week after the tickets went on sale.

complaining on Facebook that every time there's a big event, they get a "mass influx of country folk that piss and vomit all over." They say they also have to put up with noise, traffic, litter and other bad behavior.

One homeowner says, "residents are driven mad by people pissing everywhere, on front doors, cars, walls of homes etc."

Now seeing as Brooks hadn't played yet then they were obviously on about previous fans that have done this.

And claiming it was going to happen again. Some people are there for music instead of getting sloshed and ruining people's property.

God that thread was such a hoot. I just had a quick scan of a few pages of it there, tis amazing how many closed accounts there are of the pro-GB camp. I miss Wishiwasha Littlebitaller the most :P

Well if this behaviour has been seen time and again as they claim at gigs, then the odds are not in favour of the attendees this one set of concerts suddenly not repeating it! I guarantee you that virtually every gig held in Croke Park has people that "are there for the music", but they have also pretty much all had a proportion of pissheads and louts, and there is no reason to believe a GB gig would be any different.

I'm already cringing at the thought of the speech the prick will give if he does come back, bet he will be shedding a tear, onions stashed up his sleeve. Definitely going to be sickening.
