Like people want a free house, Many just expect it.

I just think some is mad, people just expect to be sorted. Like in rent arrears and then just expect to be sorted.
Other mad bit is amount of non British people working in the council.

Do they actually say what country the person came from...or are you just making an assumption?

Of which??

This episode is actually titled immigrants.

But Many of the workers would strongly seem to not be nationals either, more brought up here or working here.

Erm, you made the point about non British in the context of council workers.

So I was asking, do they actually give the nationality of council workers or are you just working off an assumption.

I feel sorry for those poor kids with the Romanian couple. They didn't ask to be dragged to england with the parents to be sleeping in a different place every night.

In many cases the council seem to pay all rent for a period.
Just dont understand it. Why the expectant attitude?
If i want a new car or house i work for it.

For a more stable and equal society within your country, council houses will have to be built/refurbished for every folk of the land that needs housing regardless, otherwise chaos will ensue as more and more folk are put into hotels and B&B's of which is costing astronomical amounts of cash from public money (your taxes).

When a person is offered a council house here in Ireland after 10/15 years waiting, they have to pay rent on this abode they were given, it is not free, and if they miss any payments they are turfed out and this is the case.

Many years ago if you were offered a council house/flat/duplex, you could actually purchase the abode for a decent price. In very wet countries like ours every-one needs a roof over their head and to have privacy and that is a human right, but not in Ireland it seems at this time.

A lot of folk crying and whinging thinking that people get free houses... as I said they are not free and never will be as rent always has to be paid on the abode. All folk seem to do these days is degrade their fellow man/woman and children of a home - 'roof over their head' with some privacy to hide away from the stigma and distasteful bullying from the angry taxpayer.

As Bob Dylan once said... As the times they are a changin... Renovating/repairing within 250,000. Homing your fellow native folk should not be looked at as a disgusting act, it should be looked at as a friendly gesture to your country man/woman.

Thankfully here now at this time the minority government are going to actually do it this time and house folk. About fecking time.

The way native Irish folk are being treated by their native country folk and government is nasty sh!t looking at it the last few years.

My taxes go to everything like most folks and I'm not crying or attacking folk, I wonder why that is ?. Put the taxes to good use instead of constantly paying billions to un-guaranteed bondholders of which many folk like to see their cash go to strangely enough. Folk attack their own and completely forget who really robbed you. Take it out on the poor folk was always the childish and easy way to ferment and vomit the attacks to.

All your billions and your children's wages taxed will be paying those bastards for generations, but who cares, we will just attach more stigma and attacks to the weakest in society.

Despite the German ancestry, in fairness Queen Elizabeth II has mastered the accent quite well. Is she British enough for you?

In fairness,it is my view on it, we have local homless here and over there. Both are equally ignored. You have first and second Generation immigrants who come with the" its my right" or its" its my entitlement" attitude.

But you know conor, dont let that get in the way of a subtle racism dig. I mean we never here any issues about cultural fit with different groups...

In actuallity,many of those quick searches and post speak about the lack of effort on many parts to adapt to thier new host country, and the expectation for the country to adapt to them.

Second generation immigrants are born there. They haven't come there. They are British. Or do you think that they should be sent back to a country they aren't actually from???
