We don't strike deals. We follow the Gospel.

    Good afternoon!

    Last post.

Jesus never said that we should rule on His behalf. In fact the New Testament only refers to Christians living under non-Christian rulers.

Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world in John 18:36.

Much thanks in the Lord Jesus Christ,

    I am not a Catholic.

I don't recall saying that you were.

What societal privileges do I have as an Orthodox Christian living in Ireland exactly? Getting to wear a Cross?

I'm glad that's your last post in this discussion, because you spoil my religious stereotype all together with all your reasonableness and tolerance. I much prefer love humanity's approach! ;)

Muslim women are not allowed to remove the hijab in public. This would mean they cannot enter the work place according to your logic. By removing it, to them, it is like rejecting their faith. So in your world, religious people have to hide and reject their faith in public?

Wearing a veil is not a religious requirement, it is a cultural one. It is perfectly possible to be a Muslim and not wear a hijab. In much the way that Muslim men do not require them, regardless of how much lust this stirs up in women.

Love Humanity, maybe you should consider changing your name to Love Humanity Provided You Agree With Me. And would you not consider that describing Christians as 'persecuted' because they cannot publicly wear a religious symbol is rather making a mock of Christians who are and were actually persecuted?

It is a requirement by Muslim women to wear a hijab as part of their faith.

To deny me from wearing a Cross is the beginnings of more extensive persecution. Of all the religions in the west, Christianity today is a free for all to attack and mock. Christophobia and bigotry towards Christians is accepted but Anti semitism and Islamophobia (and rightly so) is frowned upon. Double standards.

Is that what they told you in your church? Do you even read the news?

No one is denying you the right to wear it, Why do you feel the need to have it out 8n the openn8n people's faces? Does it not work if it's not in the open air?

Yes it is a requirement of islam to cover your hair if you are a woman.

I will wear the Cross openly with pride, if it offends you, I don't care. You will learn to accept it in time.

Also, does it work if it's just a plain cross? Does it have to have the little fella stuck on?

    Sigh

Have you ever been to Turkey? Tunisia?

Predominantly Muslim countries where MUSLIM women do not wear hair covering.

Wear away as I said It doesn't bother me in the slightest but don't get too upset if one day you are told to cover it up while on private property.

Religion will die out one day, you will.learn to accept that in time ;)

The one with the fella on gives you reincarnation powers, the plain one just protects you from evil or something.

What's the difference between an orthodox cross and a normal cross?

    Your dreams are unrealistic haha

Why about Christians in Europe who lost their jobs for wearing a crucifix at work and refusing to remove it? Would you agree with removing religious freedom such as this?
Can you give some examples of this please?

@ Love Humanity & 100cent - Why dont you show real solidarity with Jesus's suffering and carry a 9ft, 110lb wooden cross then? Why are you pussy-footing about with a little scamp of a cross on a chain?

At least with a big wooden cross people will be in no doubt about your beliefs and would probably have more respect as you too are sharing the suffering of Jesus!?

Also would you tolerate a colleague openly wearing an inverted cross in your workplace? \Someone sitting beside you wearing it around their neck on a chain, one big shiny inverted cross and telling you all about how cool and awesome the Church of Satan is, how awesome their ceremonies are, the sacrifices, the satanic cake sales they have at the weekends, the awesome clothes they get to wear with all the pentagrams showing their beliefs?

Would that be cool in your workplace?

Alas satanism is alive and well in today's society.

But I will not bow to Secular elitism by concealing my cross.

The person can wear an inverted Cross all they want but why are they talking about their ceremonies at work? I don't talk about religion at work. If they did however, I would not care.

Good question. People are curious and they ask questions. Sometimes their curiosity is not innocent and their intentions are not pure. After all, the goal of Christianity is to stamp out competition, not just to "have rights". That's one big reason why wearing religious symbols in the workplace is divisive and dangerous.

Well it was Christianity that invented Satanism after all, good work there!!

Good answer. Now how come you wont carry about a large wooden cross?

No religion should be bashed , nor should atheism or agnosticism.

Now, now, thats a very slippery slope you're creating there,
Religion is merely an idea, like all ideas it should never be free from being criticized.

Your type of mindset is the type that resulted in stuff like "Life Of Brian" being banned in Ireland, nobody should fear mocking an idea and no blocks should be put in place to stop an idea being bashed.

If you fear people being critical and mocking of your idea then its you that has a problem, not the other people.

The idea (religion) has turned into a multi billion euro organisation which abuses countless thousands worldwide, to not be critical of that organisation and those that even attempt for one second to defend its crimes is a very very bad step indeed.

There was a famous t-shirt years back from an extreme english metal band. While I enjoy some similar music I have not time for this band in particular but their t-shirt was rather blasphemous..........just google "COF offensive T-shirt"

Its the one with a nun on the front...oh and it may offend you so this is just a little warning about it!!

Once you have had a look at it, tell me would you mind if your colleague wore that to work with you? Its obvious anti-christian as the band in question have a rather Satanic outlook if only for shock tactics!!
