    Would have been hosted in Europe with no cost to Australia but with great exposure,

    so you missed out big time.

    Hosted in London's O2 arena by Paul Hogan & a kangaroo in a ballgown.

    That level of global exposure is priceless.

    Australia missed out.

    It's a competition for TV companies, there's plenty of other countries completing who aren't on the European continent

    It was actually the Austrians. Some eejit just mixed it up along the way somewhere and it stuck. It was the real cause of WWII .
