^^ ideally that should have been the scenario walking through the flames similar to Daenerys.

But perhaps R+L=J would be revealed too soon.

Anyway I thought the season so far is good apart from Jon's resurrection. Done very poorly IMO.

Good episode evn though it felt rushed in the end. I loved the bit where the mountain smashedd the drunks head against the wall. It is the unexpected violence that is usually the best. Alot still being setup for a few episodes down the line.

Significantly better than the first episode.

Losing the Roose is a big blow through - and somewhat out of character for him. He was deliberately riling Ramsay up: I think he would have been a bit more on his guard. Roose was always one for security over honour: I think that if he had intended disposing of Ramsay due to having a "legitimate" son he would have kept that under wraps. You didn't see him making snide comments to Robb such as "you know what happens to bad kings? They get stabbed in the back". Really hoping for a longer downfall to Roose, over way too quick.

Rest of the episode was pretty solid, but the direction for Snow rebirth was a bit awkward. The only question was whether it was going to be dragged out into the next episode. It's hard to get a good feel for how much time has passed: when we saw Karl Drogo being resurrected he was brain dead because too much time had passed, while Beric Dondarrion was resurrected almost immediately (less than a minute after being killed by Sandor Clegane).

But why do shows and films keep showing keeping getting hit with enough force that it would knock them unconscious? Arya would be lucky to not have a brain haemorrhage after being hit by a quaterstaff to the head.

Jon Snow's face when he woke up was my look of shock when yer wan was bollock naked last week. He didn't get sick like I did though.

Wash, cut, beard trim and a resurrection. Jon Snow is ready for action.

Much better than the first episode, have to say I love Ramsey, he's a complete sadistic psychopath and he's not one bit cowardly either which makes him an extremely dangerous and intriguing character. Can't say I didn't see him killing his father (his father really should have known his son would eventually do him in) but I thought we'd have to wait longer to see it.

Speaking of which, great to have Jon back so soon, I was dreading them dragging it out which I think would have wasted the season a bit. Things are moving along nicely now, let's hope it continues.

I dunno how they were gonna do Jons resurrection right to be honest. Putting him emerging from the flames or something like a phoenix or azor ahai choosen one type would have been way too much. It not like he is an immortal superhero or anyway he could trip down a flight of the stairs tomorrow and mel would need to ask the lord of light again. Perhap doing it a bit understated was the way to go , as big as Jon Snow is the show is far too big for one character.

Yeah, that was a damn sight better than the previous episode. Wun Wun splatting that guy was just fantastic! :D

Oh man, I just did a little happy dance at the end of that episode :D

Something's been bugging me, though...does Davos still not know what happened to Shireen yet? I couldn't see him being so convivial to Melisandre if he knew the truth.

Delighted Ollie was thrown in the jail cells.

He is the whiniest 12 year old b1tch in all of the 7 Kingdoms.

I like the scene of Tyrion with the Dragons. It sobered him up for the first time in years! Also, the scene with the Mountain killing the drunk was just funny :pac:

It seems like its easier to bring people back from the dead than supersizing your meal deal at a drive-thru.

Good episode, looking forward to seeing what happens with the Sparrow story line. Would be hilarious if they brought Jon Snow back from the dead, only to have Ramsay kill him.

Probably not, its plausible for him to think that she just got killed by the Boltons in battle, it might be part of whats keeping Davos going . Mels melancholy probably hasn't gone as far to admit she got him to burn the child at the stake. Was it the life for a life that got Jon back i wonder.

I thought she would have to die to bring him back especially showing a weaker side to her in the last episode.
Not a fan of the idea of bringing people back to life so easily
I agree, a bit too easy, in the end - it should have been more that there was something unique to Jon that allowed him to be brought back (based on his history) - maybe it will be established in future.

Is there any particular strategic reason why Davos wanted Jon Snow back? I guess he sees him as a leader, but a leader of who? Most people in Castle Black don't like him.

Good episode but two things bugging me, what the **** was that thing that was in the cave with brann and who was the guy that killed old greyjoy?

That thing as in one of the Children of the Forest?

The guy who killed Baylon was his brother who was presumed dead or disappeared.

I think the girl in the cave was one of the children of the forest. They made an appearance helping Bran season before last.

Enjoyed the episode, pace is a little fast like the first but I guess they want the story brought up to a certain point as soon as possible. I notice they also confirmed that Trystane was in fact killed in the port at Kings Landing, which is weird for the note they released mentioned he was sent back.

Presumably it's something to do with his loyalty to Stannis and the fact that Stannis liked him. Didn't Jon Snow regard Stannis as the rightful king and respected him because Ned Stark did? He is also, to most people's minds anyway, the last remaining hope for the Starks to retake the north from the Boltons. Since it was the Boltons who killed Stannis, I think it would be understandable that Davos would want to throw his lot in with the man who would overthrow the family who killed his leader.

Also, did Ramsey mention that the Umbers were going to be on his side in the north? Are they not the family that girl that's with Bran is from?

Well the wildlings have followed him so far and clearly the very fact of his murder was enough to send them raging back to Castle Black.

Wun Wun seems to think a lot of him too ;)

Ramsey is the new Joffrey, be nice to see him get killed in whatever fashion, slowly and with fire hopefully :)

Also, is Theon the King of the Iron Islands now?

Presumably not. Yara was told that she didn't automatically inherit the crown and that there'd have to be a Kingsmoot to decide who would rule. I'd imagine Theon would be in the same position.

What I don't understand about the episode is that there are so many unresolved story lines all over the place, why did they feel the need to bring Balon's brother into it out of nowhere and bump Balon off? It's not as if the Ironborn have been central to the whole story.

No, the ironislanders work differently. That's what Euron is back to nab.

Guess the theory that Euron is Daario has been put to rest; different actor.

Glad they didn't tease us any longer, but would've preferred they tried to burn him and he stood up in the fire, would've been more epic. Also Davos' dialogue with Melisandre was fairly clumsy. Kind of a clumsily handled scene overall.
