Disappointed that Three have not got this up on their site for pre order yet, especially as they have the exclusive on this at release. Really want to know how they are going to price this.

Easily fixed with an unlock code and a reflash, given the unlocked bootloader.

Ok so I'll show my stupidity here

how do you get an unlock code? I thought only three could give you that or some guy off the internet for €50 or so! Is there another way?

What and how do you do a reflash and bootloader?

I'm planning on going s-off, custom rom, modding, theming etc etc so that won't bother me. I'm with 3 anyway, and they don't put much on the device, nothing like what Vodafone does.

Laura on elevate said UK shipping for preorders is May 6th. If that's so, I reckon you'd be looking at close to a week later for preorders than going to a 3 store.

yea in fairness to three the generally don't put to much on any phone I had with them before.

    but whats s-off?
    custom rom?

Amazon are saying May 6th too like 3UK for the release. They were saying May 3rd the day the phone was announced, so I'm guessing the US get it on the 3rd.

Here's just one such service provider, there are plenty others out there, probably cheaper too - https://www.unlock-network.com

They'll do you a 3 Ireland One M9 for €17.90, for instance. I'm fairly sure you can get it cheaper, but it's not something I've needed to look at in years.

For flashing ROMs and the like, keep an eye out here post-release: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/development

The 10 has arrived on Very. Works out to under €600 with new account discount.

    http://www.very.co.uk/e/q/htc-10.end?_requestid=248918

Unfortunately says delivery "by May 31st". Don't know if I'm that patient.

Has anyone actually been able to buy from very? I get an application unsuccessful message when I try and pay by card. Wonder do they have the parcel motel address blacklisted.

Is parcel motel needed for very to deliver here?

Am able to checkout with card now using my addresspal address , then it says the code is not valid, do phones come under the computers category as they are excluded. Either way I get an error that code is not valid. Probably can't/shouldn't sign up for a credit account.

I wouldn't think so, because they specify iPhones.

I'd say you'd need a credit card with UK address to sign up for the credit. Was hoping you'd figure it!

I totally forgot about the cable thing until seeing it mentioned here.

Yeah, since the 10 uses USB-C, I had to buy new cables. Obviously the phone comes with a cable and quick charger, but one is never enough. Just make sure you avoid cheap USB-C cables.

    This is what I bought:

Did the spigen cases come directly from their UK site or through Amazon resellers ?

Can't seem to find any 10 cases dispatched by Amazon.

I ordered from Keep In Case through Amazon

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DAN1T4E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Shortly after my order, I got an email saying they had no stock, and next delivery would be May 6th. Seems I actually got in before they ran out of stock, though, and got the cases yesterday.

Have always found them to be really good, and they have an 18 month warranty.

Taking forever to get back to me about this cable as well. Is there anyone that does reliable lasting long micro usb cable?

By the way I've had spigen cases for the m8 and m9 stuck with the gun metal slim armour case and always liked them. What are main differences to say the one you have right now?

Should get a cable replacement without any questions asked, I would have thought. I'm very hard on my cables, as I'm constantly plugging in and out when flashing/theming/modding. Never had an official cable last more than a year.

The rugged armour case seems fairly similar to my S6 edge+ one, although the buttons don't seem as pronounced, so hope that's not an issue.

I got the Spigen slim armour case yestery from Amazon. It's in gunmetal grey and is almost exactly the same size as the same case I have for my M8, the only big difference being the kick stand on the back on the M10 case. As expected really but still happy with it, now just need the 10 to put in it.

Battery life has tanked on my S6, giving estimates of 10 hours battery life after unplugging at full charge. If the camera on the HTC is equal to or better than my S6 then I may jump ship. Metal body and hi res audio are big draws for me too.

Anybody have any experience with the below site? They have the black front with silver back in stock. Only thing is they don't mention the hi res earphones so they may not be in the box.

I'd be very careful, mainly because if this is the US version, you might have issues with LTE bands. I'm also not sure where you would stand with warranty.

After doing a bit of googling they are from Hong Kong. I wouldn't be comfortable handing over €700 with very little comeback and the possibility of tax. Didn't even consider that it may use different bands.
