    Hi there,

I have a carbon rimmed road wheel that I would like to have rebuilt: it has a 8 speed free hub and now have a 10 speed bike. I have pretty much sourced a new hub and cassette. I just need someone to rebuild the wheel. Can anybody recommend anywhere in Dublin.

    Thanks, Chris

    Mr Skeffington

    Or Humphries in Finglas.

    Or Cliff in Eurocycles.

I believe so. Eurocycles and Eurobaby. My buggy wheel is a bit creaky at the moment, I might take it in to Cliff for a tune up. ;)

yeah, its a bit odd. went in last year to pick up a cheap computer... I think I got the euro baby sales lady... after alot of pointing and saying, left, left, down she found the computers on the wall.

You could also try James O'Carroll of OC Tuning - http://www.octuning.ie/ . He's in the KCR industrial estate. He's specializes in mountain bikes, but also builds road wheels - mainly Zipps - for the larger bike shops.

Cliff is still there, but I believe it's called 2 Wheels these days.

Mr Skeffington no longer does repair work (or certainly wasn't last time I spoke to him). Humphries Cycles in Finglas still do wheelbuilding, and still have an excellent reputation for doing so

There is a wheel builder out in Blanchardstown Village. Justin at Cyclezone
