The shocking discovery was made at the KFC branch in Birmingham's Martineau Place.

Ah for fúck sake. I've got KFC from there a handful of times in the past few months. Everyone knows all the staff are useless, but I didn't expect there to be shite around the kitchen.

You're okay with eating other peoples poo?

It's a fact of life. Your toothbrush has poo on it.

I never get ice in my drinks, machines like those are cleaned once a century.

they are washed out every day. All equipment is cleaned daily.

I worked in fast food and restaurants, fast food was the cleaner and stricter when it came to hygiene

Maybe thats why they call it fast food as it gives you the runs.

I think when KFC were told that they couldn't use the word Chicken to describe any of the options on their menu, people should have realised how poor KFC food actually is. To learn their staff **** in the ice cube machine is not surprising.

I do remember hearing from a friend of mine who did contamination testing that in a KFC the only conceivable way there could have been the amount of fecal bacteria contamination that they found was if the staff were actively rubbing crap into the counters.

Thankfully I've never been a fan of the place.

People are not going to have realisations based on things that happen in your imagination.

It just tastes cheaper and greasier. On the 2 occasions I've had it, I needed to lye down afterwards before I threw up.

It's definitely really bad. The chicken does not taste like chicken. The grease is appalling.

That's a myth. Basically if you hear someone saying things like these about fast food places it's more than likely a myth. Fast food places sell cheap, greasy food. It's not good for you but it still comes from the same place as the rest of your food.

I avoid any fast food places as much as possible. Friend of mine was looking at a roof in a fast food place that needed fixing as was leaking. It was upstairs and all the containers for burgers snack boxes cups etc were stored up there and he said the amount of mouse sh!t around the floors was unreal. Puke.

Same with a lot of pubs. Take off the kickboard under the shelves that the glasses are stored on and you'll be in for a shock.

Thighs , legs and wings are greasy but the breasts are fine. At least it's real chicken and not formed like the deli will sell you in your chicken roll.

KFC is my preferred fast food place. If I'm going to eat fast food I like to do it properly. None of those awful 'fries' or hamburgers with a sliver of meat, or watered down drinks. Just a few pieces of fried chicken will do fine.

I wondered how long it would take before someone came out with this bollocks. Did you think of checking their website even before you say something like that?

    https://www.kfc.com

Chicken everywhere. Got a reputable link for your claim?

I'm quite partial to the Colonel's Original 3 piece meal. The stuff KFC put on the chicken make it irrestible.

I'm sure the faecal coliforms in the ice was caused by staff not washing their hands properly and NOT sh*tting in the ice machine.

    Mmmmmm... tasty.

    Reddit > Bloomberg > Oxfam
Workers in plants run by the largest U.S. poultry producers are regularly being denied bathroom breaks and as a result some are reduced to wearing diapers while working on the processing line, Oxfam America said in a report Wednesday.

What has a firm removing Fried from their name, so people think that they are eating healthy fast food!, got to do with the supposed exploitation of workers?

many of us have been eating horse quarter ponders for years without knowing it.
A filet chevalin (horse steak) is slightly sweet, tender, low in fat & delicious.
It is a taboo food because of the role horses have played as companions & workers.
The concerns about the ethics of the horse slaughter process & the fact that the horse is now given pet status by many in some parts of the western world has led, I believe, to the development of an aversion to the consumption of horse meat in most.

20,000 KFC restaurants worldwide and people are up in arms about a few stories on health and safety. If you applied that to 20,000 independent fast food restaurants I imagine the results would be far worse.
