I don't know to be honest but I have heard the term before. He prescribed progesterone and aspirin too so think I'm going to try those before going down the hormonal route. Taking a break this month as going no on hols in 2 weeks and don't want to be dealing with it while I'm away.

God it's such a minefield really isn't it. I didn't know there was such a thing as poor ovulation. Maybe the progesterone will be enough for you and will hopefully help prevent another early MC.

That's what I'm hoping for too. Fingers crossed!

Yes, perhaps he means that the corpus luteum is not releasing enough progesterone to sustain the pregnancy.

I think this could be what it is. Thankfully we're quite early on in the process and have been able to get pregnant relatively easily. Hopefully we'll be able to rectify whatever issue we're having maintaining one and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Trying to stay optimistic and positive as we've had no intervention yet so nothing to suggest it won't be successful if we need it.

It really is a minefield. Totally clueless, between the herbal supplements, opks, temping, bloods and dr's visits! It's such a process!
Starting full herbal treatment this month, going to try temping even with my shifts. Not sure about opk.

I know! I am very envious of those who just dtd and it works. I have lost faith in the opk's, not to mention how expensive they are so trying to dtd every second day and temp - although even that confuses me a bit!

I know I'm very tempted to do them this month as I'm unsure if my cycle but they are expensive with everything else. But with us both working shifts it helps to narrow down when we should be dtd if we are working opposites. It's all so confusing.

I got those free with my thermometer. I got a negative on these the day I got a peak on the clear blue advanced! I kept testing for a week after and got a positive(ish) last week which FF is now saying was when I ovulated. Confused.com as I didn't have CM! I do think they are more reliable than the expensive digital ones but I drink a lot of water throughout the day so I wasn't sure if my positive was due to more concentrated urine or actual higher levels.

gosh that is confusing. stick to one test type Id say, and its only part of the puzzle. I dont find CM reliable at all for me anymore. (It used to be when I wasnt trying :()

I'm the same as I drink loads and loads, that's what makes me wary but not sure bout the CB ones either! Ahhhh who knows!

I think you are right. I'm happy to throw in the towel on the digital opk's!

I also don't get why the CB say to use first morning urine when the strips say specifically not to test then..... really doesn't help the confusion for me!

It's the testing twice a day I find bizarre if you can only use fmu, plus expensive with the digital ones!

I've never used FMU with an OPK. One of the first batches I got said that the LH is synthesised in the body during the day, so specifically NOT to test with FMU. I always found testing around 3pm worked well for me. Even with the clear blue ones that say use FMU I just tested during the afternoon and it worked fine. A tip I heard was try to leave it about 1-2 hours since you were last at the loo, and don't drink too much during that time because it can sometimes water down the hormone concentration in your pee.

OK I'm really confused now. I think I got my period this morning (CD36) but no ovulation has been detected on my chart, either by cervical mucus, temp, or OPK.

Could be oestrogen breakthrough bleeding which is what can happen on an anovulatory cycle

    I think I'm miscarrying again :(

Was due period on 8th April, it started on 5th which was odd for me as in pretty regular. Didn't think anything of it until period lasted 2 weeks on and off. Still spotting up to yesterday. Hadn't been actively TTC so never imagined I'd be pregnant. Took a test yesterday and got BFP.

Only I'm now thinking what I thought was a period was actually an early MC and the test is showing positive as HCG still in my system.

I'm lying here awake and waiting for OB office to open to know what I should do.

    I feel awful :(

So sorry for butting into the thread with a misery post. It helps to write it down ...

sittingpretty has it been constant bleeding or has it been lightish and patchy? I hope you're OK.

Is that usually light? By about lunchtime yesterday it was definitely at AF volume, and today it's really heavy. Usually my 2nd day is the heaviest. I missed temping the two days before I got flashing smileys, would it be possible I ovulated then and missed it?

    Hey ladies!
I'm just catching up, tough week back at work listening to all the 'have you any news' questions plus the you should have used your time off to get pregnant! I'm not the close to the girls in work so I find asking me so rude as I wouldn't ask them!! Then had a run in with a girl, I normally get on great with was very upset bout it!!
Thinking it's all hormone related as I'm getting what looks like another Af a week after the last one!
So sorry for the rant! Not normally so bothered by things, and small incomparison to others!

You are so patient, I think I would lose the plot with those people. I can't believe that women can be so insensitive and rude. How are the herbs going?

Thanks everyone, had a scan, they can't see anything :(

Just waiting now to get blood test to measure HCG level.

A positive test and a miss is a lot to handle in space of one day :(

I know I'm just not like that! I wait for people to engage with me and tell their own stories or leave them to their own lives. Very frustrating!
Good I think I'm hoping they don't make a difference for the worst as my gp said that happens sometimes! Waiting for payday next week to have reflexology/acupuncture!
How you feeling after the fertility clinic/gp?

I'd say it is? I suppose you will know more from the hcg. Thinking if you!

Hi Ladies, room for another one?! We are TTC since August 2015 but missed a couple of fertile windows along the way due to work etc. Nothing so far- not even a sniff of a faint line on a HPT or a false positive- NADA!

Had my Day21 bloods done this month - was worried about Progesterone but Doc says it was fine at 41 and she is happy I am ovulating. Had husband's Semenalysis done earlier this week and just waiting on results now.

I know I'm starting to annoy him talking about the fact we havent gotten pregnant yet (he's the chilled out eternal optimist and I'm the flapper!) so thought I'd sign up here and join the chat with you ladies (and one or 2 gents)! It's a lonely road when no-one else in your life apart from your partner knows about the struggle....
