I'd say it is? I suppose you will know more from the hcg. Thinking if you!

Thanks so much. I've to go back on Saturday for another blood test to make sure HCG is going down.

Sorry to hear people are being insensitive. Some people haven't a CLUE! Best just ignore them God knows I know that's easier than said sometimes!

You poor thing, hope your ok, we'll sort of processing it.
I feel ridiculous moaning in, I struggle enough in work as its so clicky so this just through me! But sure that's work for ya! I now I find women can be ridiculous! Not a dole asking Dh if he's any news!!!

Hi Ladies, room for another one?! We are TTC since August 2015 but missed a couple of fertile windows along the way due to work etc. Nothing so far- not even a sniff of a faint line on a HPT or a false positive- NADA!

Had my Day21 bloods done this month - was worried about Progesterone but Doc says it was fine at 41 and she is happy I am ovulating. Had husband's Semenalysis done earlier this week and just waiting on results now.

I know I'm starting to annoy him talking about the fact we havent gotten pregnant yet (he's the chilled out eternal optimist and I'm the flapper!) so thought I'd sign up here and join the chat with you ladies (and one or 2 gents)! It's a lonely road when no-one else in your life apart from your partner knows about the struggle....

This is a great thread, I've found it fab!
My Dh is the same tells me he's not worried until we're a year trying after he heard that's how long my body will take to regulate haha! God love him.
Your bloods are good fingers crossed for the semen analysis!
It's a lonely road but not here it's a great place to vent and get reassurance!

I know I'm just not like that! I wait for people to engage with me and tell their own stories or leave them to their own lives. Very frustrating!
Good I think I'm hoping they don't make a difference for the worst as my gp said that happens sometimes! Waiting for payday next week to have reflexology/acupuncture!
How you feeling after the fertility clinic/gp?

It really is, some people just can't keep their nose out of things. Oh great, I would love to do those and much look to find an affordable place.

Went for bloods on Monday and was hoping I would get a call from the doc today but nothing. Due AF in the next week, have put in a lot of effort to dtd regularly this month but not expecting anything.

Thanks everyone, had a scan, they can't see anything :(

Just waiting now to get blood test to measure HCG level.

A positive test and a miss is a lot to handle in space of one day :(

Thanks for the update, mind yourself.

Welcome aboard :), I wasn't a boards user until this thread and I have to say, its a lifesaver particularly for sanity reasons as you can drive yourself mad wondering and it's difficult when you only have the OH to talk to.

The cost is unreal one wanted €150 fur an initial reflexology consultation! There's a great woman near me that's far more reasonable but still an added expense.
There's no let up since I got married. But ignoring it is all I can do.
Would you ring yourself? If rings are normal they can forget to ring. Great you have dtd as much as possible. We are on opposite shifts again so no hope here!

Yeah I looked up a few and nearly passed out when I saw the cost per session - prohibitively expensive! There have to be other that are more reasonable.
Fair play, that's the best way to deal with it.
I will ring tomorrow, she's usually very good and rings and she told me she would so I'm hoping they were just waiting for some and she is going to ring when they have them all.
That must be very hard, we had to make a serious effort and we work fairly regular hours, unromantic and all as it is but we kinds almost scheduled it in! But if it works who cares!!!

I know I thought that as I'm outside Dublin well just it would drop the cost but I think fertility is a topic that people still find money for. Although €150 is not an option.
Ah that's good your gp is good makes all the difference but hope your not waiting until Monday.
Sure if it works who cares us right. I'm hoping we don't miss my fertile time with shifts but sure what can we do?

She is good, although even himself was a bit worried that she'd just say bloods are fine and off you go. I think he's starting to feel a small bit deflated now too as he thought it would happen quickly.
This month I have not googled one single tww symptom and I have to say I feel all the better for it. Was a head wreck last month.
Do you work total opposite shifts as in no overlap time at home before one of you heads off? How many days of shift are you on?

It's all crazy expensive really, vitamins, preseed, tests yada yada. I stopped using opks- was getting almost positives and never quite all the way. Dr said some people release enough lh to ovulate but not turn a test positive so it was an unnecessary stress and expense with no benefit. Moved on to temping a few months ago- not sure how it's going I seem to have fairly low temps in general and while it goes up post-ov it's not a massive increase!

Yep I agree get a copy of them. I think it's hard for them too. Dh best friend announced their having twins recently they had been trying years but he didn't know that as he said men don't discuss it. But by them announcing their pregnancy it has gotten them all talking and I think it's great!
We can go days without seeing each other as if I'm on days and him nights we don't overlap at all. Plus he could be hoMe during the early morning and I'm up at 5.30 so not feesible then either.Off together next week so hopefully neither of us will be sick!

It's crazy money when you think there's no guarantee. It's all hear say and what worked for others.
I'm giving opk a last go but my gp agrees with yours. All money and not an accurate measurement. I haven't temped but i might try, can be hard if you have a low temp naturally.

It really is. I'm just doing down the preseed and temping route. The opk's are not reliable for me and are just so expensive.

Oh that is great, and so nice to see them open up a bit too fair play.
That really is tricky to find time to dtd, hopefully your fertile week will not be on one of those weeks. Between one thing and another you realise how challenging this can be for so many of us, yet typically all we hear are the good news stories of impending arrivals!

Shifts must be rough, it can be hard enough fitting in enough sex even if you have a lot of time together. Oh where has the spontaneity gone- feckn hate fertile week, much rather doing it when it's solely for fun

Yeah I think it's great Dh had no idea so many of his friends had had problems, leading to icsi/Ivf.
    It's a mine field really

Oh fingers crossed Meubles, hoping for a quick tww for you! Are you using opk's or temping or both. We feel like we gave it a good shot this month but I'm not very confident.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 67 ✭✭Meubles

Thanks! Fingers crossed for you too Ruailebuile!!

I'm using cheapie opk's and temping. Been off birth control for 6 months but it's only the last 3 months my cycle has 'settled' down. Have ovulated between CD21 and CD23 for 3 months so it's starting to take the stress out of trying to figure out the best timing. It's also nice in a way to get to the TWW as it's just out of your hands now and need to try relax and see. Didn't bother with preseed this month as for the first time actually had some ewcm for a few days! I did drink a lot of water the days leading up to ovulation and wonder if this helped with the ewcm or if that's a myth?

Best of luck Meubles! Hope your tww flies by you!!

I didnt find anything helped to increase ewcm- I think some people just dont make it!! Ive tried litres of water, evening primrose and COQ10 and nothing. Preseed all the way for us!

Bloods normal according to the GP, although I didn't actually get to speak to her just said they were fine in voicemail and that I appear to have ovulated. Progesterone was 50, not sure if that's good bad or different but great that they are normal.
Meubles, I have noticed CM other months but didn't this month so maybe that fluctuates too - long may yours last - preseed is pricey too!!

That's great that your bloods are normal but still check the levels especially your thyroid function.
I'm useless at CM too. Read conflicting things about preseed so it's all so confusing!

AF arrived today :( is fertility friend is right my luteal phase is only 10 days so hope that's not an issue. My cycles are very short which is handy in one way but still so disappointing. On the yet another month!
