Sleeping positions

What's the most comfortable position? I love sleeping on my tummy, but I have eyelash extensions in and this is causing them to fall out. I'm also a big fan of sleeping on my side, and alternate between the two at night. Alas, I can't do that because it's causing one side to fall out faster.
So that leaves sleeping on my back. People who find this position comfortable clearly are weirdos. It's the worst.

Agreed. But it can depend on who;s on top...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Always on my side unless I'm locked, I could be upside down for all I care at that stage.

Inverted lotus position, big toes in ears. I've experimented with other positions, but that's how I always wake up.

    Foetal position, mostly :pac:

Sometimes I'm the weirdo that sleeps on his back. Also, I don't use a pillow on most nights.

I let my housemate into my bed one night for spooning and he told me it was like sleeping with sonic the hedgehog :pac:
On my side. Bum out, legs pulled up. What I wouldn't give to be like sonic tonight.

On my back usually, although last night the bf was over so I was on my stomach for most of the night :pac:

After administering self flagellation I prepare for my special sleeping position. "Bed" is a slab of concrete with one sheet on top of it. I put myself in to restraints so as my wrists are held up over my head and both ankles are secured to each other at the bottom. It's an automatic system that clicks in to place with the use of a remote control. Think of the little one you have for your telly.

On my side until I'm about to nod off, then I remember something embarrassing I did when I was eight and toss and turn for the rest of the night

Most nights I sleep on my back with my right hand behind my head and left knee bent so the flat of my foot is against the calf of the other leg. The cat sleeps between me and the wall just below my right shoulder.

Never realised it was so weird until I typed that :pac:

Mostly sleep on my belly one leg straight one bent. Arms underneath the pillow.

The splat position is what I call it. But the covers have to cover my ears, but not my face. And not have any gaps around my neck. Or any draughts elsewhere either.

I'm cursed with a feet-sticky-out partner though and he likes to put the covers over his face. So I get an overly warm face and cold feet. And I dislike being snuggled - he is a spooner. I don't mind a few minutes of it but after that, off with you to the other side of the bed thanks. Apart from that, we get on mighty.

Kid is worse though, kicks off the blankets and wakes you, kicks you pretty much everywhere, and the occasional headbutt too. And wakes up at Stupid O'Clock all cute and bouncy and you have to get up right this instant. I'm sooo looking forward to the teen years. I will have my vengeance.

As a complete insomniac , pretty much none of them which really sucks,

Spoons are the best. They're my favourite. Even if we're fighting, unless it's a really bad fight, a truce will be called and I'll still get my cuddle. I'm so needy at nighttime :(

Charging alcove is upright, so 'sleep' upright.

I sleep curled in a ball surrounded by more pillows than is good for me. I can find it very difficult to share a room, never mind a bed with another person. When I can then it's an indication of how comfortable I am around them.

Spooning is great but after a bit I have to find my own little spot.

I agree. Spooning and cuddling is great for a while.

Then there's the awkward few minutes of how the fcuk do I get out of this and sleep.

Start gritting your teeth and farting.

    Works for me!

0 being upright on ones back... I can sleep anywhere from 70 to 300 ish.

That said, when I camp, and I do regularly, I fire my hammock up and sleep on my back. Makes no sense.

Always on my side, never on my back. I have a fat memory foam pillow which keeps my head straight when on my side; if on my back, I would use no pillow at all, but I suspect I would snore. So side it is.

I usually sleep in the foetal position with the duvet wrapped tightly around me or on my stomach - The joy of having small boobs :pac::D

    Yeah, good one.

When I was 17 I broke my spine (not my intention!). Initially told i'd never walk again, but survived, aided by sleeping on bed-rest (on my back) for 4 months in hospital. I had no choice but to sleep on my back, static for all of those 4 months (with the exception of bed-sheet changes and nurses wiping my arse)

Ever since (over 10 years), this has been the norm for me. I just got used to it. I'm sure I fumble around in my sleep, but I fall asleep on my back and tend to wake up in same.

    Weirdo I am, alright :pac::rolleyes:

Generally on the side, looking away from the wall.

Currently this means on my right side, but it used to be on my left side, when the bed was in a different location in the room. Both times I'd end up dacing south-west.

When in hotel rooms, I tend to sleep on my left side, although I sometimes sleep on my back when drunk.

If I sleep on my back, I usually snore.

I'm married to a woman who makes me sleep on my left side because I snore if I'm on my right or on my back. It makes my shoulder sore sometimes and I wake and she is snoring. Should I look for a new bed or a new wife ?
