Very impressed with some of the VR stuff, tried out a few things on milk vr too which was good especially the rollercoaster video which was excellent but it's a pity it's so blurry but at the same time gave me a very good idea of how cool vr is going to be in the near future!

Did you try titans of space? It's very good.

I'd still look at returning it for a new one. You shouldn't have to turn off any available features.

Yes but I could be waiting weeks for a replacement. If it's a software issue hopefully can be fixed with an update.
I downloaded an app to make it think I was in the US. I think milk vr is only available to the us.
    App is govpn

What's the milk VR? Is that a different headset or different software?

It's another area for content. Lots of videos in there, you can watch your own 3D movies in there too, plenty of info on reddit on how to do that.

You have to download Hola on your phone as it's only available in the US, here is a link on how to do it, you can uninstall Hola afterwards.

I didn't yet but will be tonight. I was on it for far too long last night trying out as much as I can and started to feel a little unwell by the end of the night so forgot to go back and try it. There was a mini series on it called Gone, watched the first episode, was interesting and gives you an idea of what can be done with these. I would love something like the Telltale games on this!

"NOTE: Because of the curved edge of the display, the film is deliberately smaller than the display."

It will look awful as it won't cover the edges. And the ones that do cover the edges peel away or have rainbow effect issues or worse. This is why I think maybe a film is the best option for complete coverage but on the s6 edge I failed with these due to bubbles.

Interestingly Zaag are bringing out the Invisible Shield Glass Contour which they are saying offers edge to edge protection.

Is the 5 minute limit for recording 4k removed ?

Anyone have issues with air bubbles or funny marks under the edges glass which was an issue with the s6 edge last year for some.

Am bored of my iPhone so thinking making jump back to Android if there is no major issues with the S7 Edge.

Looks pretty nice, although it makes the smartphone look a bit different, or do I see wrong?

Tried them before on a different phone and hatted them entirely.

I really much prefer either a case/cover or go naked rather than these half way house solutions.

    Personal preference entirely so YMMV.

Done a test there doesn't seem to be a limit on the 4K down 5mins 30 seconds without a problem.

No bubbles on my phone or the edges.

Make the jump you won't be disappointed it's fantastic phone and I'm only using android over a week and find it great. So much more flexibility with the OS but I'm sure you know this. The phone is the perfect size too can't believe it has the same size screen as the 6s plus but is a smaller phone.

Tried it there, very cool experience. Going to be very interesting to see how these types of programs are going to develop going forward and how they will implemented in classrooms in the future.
So much can be done with these outside of gaming, very excited to see how the software side of things develop over the next couple of years as it is certainly limited by that at the moment. I think I will try a 3D movie tomorrow to see what that is like.

Yeah, I had the s6 edge and it had those horrible bubbles under the glass visible in bright light. Didn't even notice it till I read this article
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/screen-defect-bubble-glass-pic-t3082886

It also got laggy when I loaded different themes, the memory management was a bit crap and the battery wasn't great. So replaced it with an ip6s plus. No issues with iPhone really other than I am bored to death with iOS, miss widgets, no notification led, zero customisation options, having to use iTunes or drop box to transfer files, and the s6 camera was noticeably superior to the iPhones.

Seeing as the battery on the s7 edge is much improved, memory management is slightly improved I really think I will sell the ip6s plus and go for the s7 edge. I also like the always on feature.

I picked up an Edge today, lovely phone, I also have the 6 Edge so I'm not overwhelmed by the differences between the 2 but I am having great fun with the VR headset.

I too have an S6 Edge, and have the option of an S7 or S7 Edge. Undecided to roll to the Edge again or non-Edge - feels like its still too new for full edge features. The app store lacks content to get the full benefit of it IMO.

The reality is that you don't need an edge screen for the edge features. They could easily function on any device.

After having the S6 Edge+ for 6 months, I'd prefer a device of the same size with a flat screen and the edge features.

The S7 is my work phone an I wanted the bigger screen so that's why I went for the Edge, if I was paying for it myself I don't think I'd bother to be honest.

Leaning towards that myself. I'll have a closer look in store in my hands and make a decision.

Any suggestions on the type of microSD card to pickup for an S7 - class/speed etc? I'm not too clued into this space.

Since the S6 didn't have a SD card I don't think I'll bother getting a SD card for it, I use cloud based storage for everything now, with Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive I've loads of space, I've a couple of these as well in case I ever want movies or anything
