Worked every Patrick's day for the last 8 years,Will be strange to be off but will be staying well away from it,Should be a day of pride and family fun but unfortunately my experience is that it descends to chaos and in one day it brings out the best and worst of us.
Enjoy it who ever is going out for it.

I'll be donning a comedy hat and waving an inflatable hammer while watching tractors and sh*t bands pass by, just like Patrick did.
It's what he would have wanted

Heard the sh1te story doing the rounds about some students who went to the aid of a Muslim woman whose shopping spilled out on the ground in Cork?

Apparently she thanked them and warned them to "Stay out of Cork on Paddys Day".

    wtf?

    It's bull****

She just said "Stay out of Cork"

Which is pretty sound advice, in fairness.

It's remarkable in this day and age when people are sceptical about almost everything, that this story still crops up regularly and people buy it hook, line and sinker. I even saw it on one of my own social media pages last week. There must hardly be a city on the planet that hasn't made it into this story by now.

Finding and killing anyone who calls it Paddy's or Patty's day...

What is wrong with changing Patrick's Day to Paddy's Day as that is short for Patrick and used extensively?

Patty's is another matter altogether, seems to come from Americans.
