Does califano have McGregors tattoo? :pac:

belly one is even worse. celtic tiger *puke*.

and it always baffles me people who tattoo their own name on themselves, just in case they forget who they are. good for lost and found i suppose :p

It's so that they can identify his body after Robbie Lawler is finished with him.

If/when he beats Nate it may not be much of a victory beating a guy on such short notice....

The chest tattoo is remarkably clearer too!. I think he should hit and run at this weight where possible but lightweight is more his home id say.
I actually used to like the tattoo pic itself, even though it doesn't really work well as you can never make it out in pics because of the colours

Although I always thought it was supposed to be a japanese demon, now I read it's a gorilla? WTF?:pac:

You'll get the 4 main card fights before it, not 100% if you get the 4 prelims before the main card though.

    Good man.

The fact that he flinched means Diaz is in his head. McGregors Done

Nope it means he's ready to fight and to avoid any strikes, I'd say anytime nate makes a move tonight conor will back away and look to counter.

Think it showed what I already said, Lawlor would eat him alive, WW is not for Conor I feel. LW he could do damage though, he still needs to do plenty of work on his ground game. To tap out will bother him a lot, and I understand why but he was beat, and he knew it, everybody knew it the moment they saw Conor shoot for a takedown, he was done then. Wobbly legs weren't going to hold out much longer and I'd say he didn't want to be KO'd

Still plenty of fights left in him if he wants them, but he should forget this pipe dream of going up against proper WW, I mean Nate is a LW too and I know he cut him, but he didn't have Nate in trouble at all in that fight, a top level natural WW would have had even less problems you would imagine.

I think he should try do the cut for his next fight, give Frankie his shot at the title, get an impressive KO on his record again and try for the LW belt again. Though maybe it would be better for him to go straight for the LW belt now, I still think they will give him the shot despite the loss, and stick to that division giving up the FW belt after being the first man to hold both. Though it may be a little too long between defences for the FW belt?

Great night anyway, was delighted for Miesha, thought she might be able to nick that and the McGregor/Diaz fight was a good spectacle also. I hope the McGregor fans can be as magnanimous in defeat as he was.

Any chance the loss now actually take a bit of pressure off him,he not expected to ko everyone in a round?

On the tap It will eat him alive I'd say but it probably saved him the weidman situation in mount getting the head thumped off him unanswered.

Had to choice but to tap surely? Don't get the argument that he should have went to sleep; what purpose would that serve?

Agree with you but pressure of next fight will be intense.

Bit ironic I received 3 emails from Coral betting yesterday offering 10/1 on Magregor, seems to me like it's all a fix

I don't think you understand how bookies' marketing departments work.

So much pressure on his next fight, genuinely don't think he wanted to do the cut for FW again,he has no choice now.

It was a bit odd that McGregor was out in Galway a few weeks ago just before he set off for the US.

Well in future you'd probably be better off researching before making ridiculous, baseless allegations about fixing.

I'm sure if the UFC were wanting to fix a fight they'd be getting into bed with Coral bookmakers FFS.

That took a lot longer than I thought it would. :pac:

Was it not a bit odd that he was out in Waterford, Cork and Dublin just before he set off for the Aldo fight?

Im curious what Conor does now.

Should he go back to 145 or release the belt in 145 as undefeated in that division and start from the start in 155

He said he expects to go back to 145 and defend his belt. He thinks Aldo deserves a shot, it might be Edgar.

Go back to 145 and beat Edgar and Aldo again, then move up to 155 and make a run for the 155 belt.

    He hasn't beaten Edgar yet!

Would prefer to see the Edgar fight myself although again stylistically it's a tougher fight than Aldo.

Although there is a case for Aldo, Edgar has fought twice after being promised a title shot. Aldo Holloway please in the meantime.

After a good night/morning sleep, I think all is not lost for McGregor. This will hurt his marketability. Pretty badly too I'd say, considering the potential he had if he managed to win the 155 belt too.

But it can be recovered. For me it involves fighting Edgar and defending title then rematching Aldo. I don't think the order of the fights matter, arguments can be made that either contenders merit a shot more than the other, only that he wins them both. After that I don't think he can walk into a 155 title shot. Probably needs at least two wins against two top 10 fighters. Maybe another win against a top 15 guy. If he can do that then a LW title shot could be on the cards. But I think he will definitely have lost some of the bargaining power he had. Fans in Ireland will stick by him, but the American contingent, with far less relatability to him won't be so kind and he will have lost a lot of casual fans. He can probably win them back, but it won't be easy.
