Got to try an S7 and Edge in a Meteor shop today. Wasn't intending to get the Edge but was pleasantly impressed! Torn now.

Every shop I've been into with an S6 Edge seemed to have display problems with their demo handsets. Burned on pixels and a lot of dead pixels. Are there issues with the S6 Edge? Have these been resolved?

I have an S6 Edge for 9 months now and have no dead pixels or burn it, I would say its an issue born of the constant demo loops they go through all day long.

Can I ask how you did it with PayPal?

I want I normally would do. Only thing I can think is I used a credit card instead of a debit card, maybe that was why it went through.

When ordering from Samsung do you have to add the VR to your order or is this done automatically?

Sorry what I meant was do you have parcel motel as your address on PayPal or are you using your Irish address and PM as your shipping address?

Would certainly be a big issue without the SD Card, thankfully they re-introduced it.

Did you email them or did they email you? Can you screenshot? Got no email.

I missed the boat on that offer but Carphone Warehouse offered a VR for €50 with Three and Vodafone. I didn't get an order confirmation. Should I be worried?

8gb is now a third of 32gb, huh? Most articles like that are a joke.

Nice to have external SD, but 32gb is more than enough for me these days. I stream virtually everything.

Haven't Samsung said that Touchwiz will support moving apps to the SD anyway this time round?

It's been confirmed by a few users on the galaxy s7 subreddit that you can move apps to the SD Card.

Emailed unlocked-mobiles just to confirm no issues with Parcel Motel, they said it should be fine but if any issues are likely they will call before shipping.

Also said expected to ship on the 11th.

Had a littleook at the edge in three for a couple of mins. Phone is super nice but didn't get to hold in hand as it was fairly bolted down.

It's very small for a 5.5 inch display phone. Especially small since Im coming from a nexus 6.

Used the S7 and S7 edge all morning properly.

I have to say, I havent noticed much from the S6.

Camera is better. The flat back is better as the phone doesnt rock like the S6.
The SD card needs to be class 10 or higher.

Screen looks very similar. Havent noticed much of a difference. It is slightly thicker than the S6.

The back of the S7 is "non slip". I put the S6 in my hand and the S7 in the other hand at the same angle, and the S6 slipped, the S7 didnt. Nice feature to have so it doesnt fly out of your hand.

They have removed standard SD storage that marshmallow supports, but have also enabled it as an option (rather than the SD card being part of the memory).

GearVR is decent. Actually got a little dizzy after a few minutes! Was using the rollercoaster one. Weird eye control with it. You can play and pause what you are doing by moving your eye across the relevant option.

Performance wise, I havent noticed much difference. I didnt push the device too hard.

Battery wise, I didnt have it long enough to see any change, but using the wifi repeaterm certainly drained the battery.

The versions I used were just the black/navy, and personally, I dont like the look of it. I find that colour makes the phone looks cheaper.

Edit: Photo added showing S6 Edge + (very left), through to the S7 Edge to S7 and the various colours).
