    Thats great news.
Would be great to have him back for the last few games if we are still right in the mix.

Speaking on March 1, Arsene Wenger said before the game against Swansea City: "Jack (Wilshere) is doing quite well but has still not been outside yet. He is [three to four weeks] away."

In other words we wont see him again this season either. About time some of the drain on resources were cut loose, we held onto Diaby for far too long and the club should have learnt a lesson from it
You realise clubs can't just cut players loose right? We didn't cut Diaby loose, his contract ran out. Christ some people don't actually live in the real world.

Getting Santi back for the last 6-7 games would be bloody brilliant. Without him, the midfield just doesn't work with any fluency at all and we need to get Ramsey back to RW until he figures out how to avoid being shit 80% of the time.

That's brilliant news although he was targetting the game at the Nou Camp so looks like there's been a minor setback.

We still have 7 league games left after 1st April so having him back could really help.
Par for the course for us Arsenal fans though that thinking a player(s) coming back from injury will make everything alright :pac:

ETA just noticed xPyro had mentione number of games too :)

Very true..... Only reason I said Sanchez is that he has that extra bit of class and currently nothing he is trying is coming off.

Would it be crazy to give Elneny a go in the midfield to see what he can do?

Nope...it would be well worth a try now and move Ramsey back right aswell too. id like to see that tonight.

Not a popular suggestion to move Ramsey out right but I do like the support he gives the midfield when playing there and it really does allow Bellerin to bomb forward.

Well, you can actually, but you'd need to pay whatever money was owed on the remainder of the contract. There may also be clauses written into the contract regarding injury and other assorted conditions that may cause a contract to be terminated before the official end.

Can't see Wenger stumping up money to get rid of someone though.

Are any pubs showing this game in Dublin. Preferably on South side Dun Laoire but could travel to city.

    Thanks

    Disagree.

You saw them come flying out of the traps against Utd at our gaf. They are able to do it, when they feel like it (although I'm certainly not saying some of 'em don't need to be upgraded).

Thats the most annoying thing about this season. how come the urgency like we showed that day hasnt been seen since? Its an attitude more than anything and thats why. I dont think they lack courage. We have tin man syndrome not lion-man syndrome

I dont mean to be negative but jesus we do get plenty of reason to be in all fairness from Arsenal. The out of this world performances are a mere shooting star in the sky. Some of our players look like they just dont give a shíte.

To be honest, im not even focused on the title race anymore. I dont have faith in us capitalising on any slip ups and in reality we are now looking over our shoulder. We've been stink since the beginning of the year. If you cant rise to a title challenge at this stage of the season then to be quite honest the sooner the better it would be if they put us out of our misery.

I like to be proven wrong more than anyone but its the same aul shíte every season. I just cant be bothered getting upset about it any more. Half of those players should be turfed out over the summer and the manager who brought them there should fall on his sword.

Having said all that, Santi has been a huge loss for us. Even Ozil has sufffered from his absence.

He hopes to be back on April 1st, we have a match April 2nd then 6 more. Doubt he'll jump in for 90 minutes for his first match.

Don't think I'd even be happy with 2nd and the cup this season. We fúcked away the league and that's the least this team should be trying to win.

    When men were men!........sigh :(

Manninger cleaning Keown out at the corner around 1.40 :D

Some of the intensity in our tackles was a joy to behold. Style with substance. No walking around without a prayer or plan.

Based on the emptiness of our performances, we as supporters would have every right to demand more regardless of any consolations we might achieve this year.

The cup shouldn't save Wenger, I thought a close run title challenge fair enough would be acceptable if there was genuine passion and effort shown but quite frankly some our approaches to games up to now don't warrant any excuses.

Since you mention it, when was the last out of this world performance the team put in?
United was the last one I remember. City was good in the first half but we took our foot off the gas. Can't think of any others all year. Oh and one of the Bayern matches I suppose, though the scoreline somewhat flattered. :P

The annoying thing is that the hope is back for me (at least for a few hours)
Sunday evening and Monday I had fully accepted it was over and we werent going to win whereas now if we win tonight and on Saturday lunchtime we could be back top!

It really is the hope that kills you :o

Didn't realise it so much at the time but Leicester away has to be up there.

The away game at Olympiacos too - very professional performance where we completely controlled the game..

I ain't giving up yet. We should be way out in front, but if you give up now you're wasting your time watching football at all.

Problem is that this year has had less 'good' performances than any other year than I can remember. Even when we had the likes of Gervinho playing for us, I can remember us having games where we could completely dominate and score some amazing goals.

It's a complete mystery how we are near the top of the table. I've been waiting for months for us to click, have no idea if it's going to happen at all this season.

Lads. This forum is getting scarily like a Liverpool one. Living on past glories because we've no current ones to talk about!

Me too. That's how i know 6 points over 11 games can definitely be clawed back.

    If your players turn up.
