Linked my revolut card to my paypal, was charged the small fee and the 4 digest code appeared on the revolut transaction history, now I'm not given the option to enter the pin to verify the card.

Just keeps saying something went wrong, please try again.

So much hassle to buy a phone

Talk about it. For years I've just walked into a shop on release day and handed over the money.

I wrote on the Chat for Samsung thing and they said for GearVR it is up to the store to provide the GearVR, and said she has no clue why they announced on stage every pre order got a gear vr

It's a joke. It's a bad state of affairs when you have trouble giving a company 700e+ for something

I don't know why people are surprised about the VR gear. Loads of things get announced at these events that only apply to certain markets.

For the people that want to buy off the samsung site (and need an english card) can you not just put the first line of your own address in the billing field and then fill the rest of it out with some UK address information (such as the Parcel Motel NI address). I have done this previously - on the Dell.co.uk outlet site iirc - and it worked fine. The card processed fine on mine end and the UK postal address/code got me past their region locked shopping cart.

Has anybody heard anything from carphone warehouse? I talked to their UK branch and they give away free GearVR but the Irish site is conflicting, with the right hand side of the page saying its free and the bottom of the page saying its 50% off.

    Well I'm completely lost....

I'm due an upgrade and just cannot decide between the iPhone 6S and the Galaxy S7 Edge.

I've been running a Note 3 for the past number of years, great phone. My intention was to go down a size and I'm an iMac user at home and do like Apple devices but I also really like Android and the whole Google 'ecosphere'.

The S7 edge really looks the business and has the higher storage and better screen plus the Edge features I really like which I'm considering going with the bigger phone again. But I can't say I'm a hige fan of Touchwiz and Apple has the better and more varied apps.

Who do people recommend as a carrier? I've been billpay with Meteor for about 5 years now. The best deals I'm looking at are with Vodafone and Three. Who is better in users experience?

I would say the S7 edge feels significantly smaller than Note 3. I think it's definitely not as wide.

I've left Vodafone recently to go to 3. There's benefits to both:

    Vodafone:
    Better coverage
    More consistent 4g
    International calls

    Three:
    Unlimited data
    Better value

I pay €20/month less with 3, and they will give me an upgrade after 21 months. Overall, the value won me over, even if you don't get consistently as good 4g speeds.

Well I preordered the edge black 32GB from unlocked mobiles. You get a case and a bluetooth speaker with it so not a bad deal. Total for just under £631 including delivery which is still cheaper than the official price.

Have you ordered from this company before? Did they accept your Irish card or did you use a revolut card or the likes?

Has anyone used these before? Thinking of ordering the s7. £20 cheaper than Samsung and no messing around with uk cards.
Will just buy the gear VR from Vodafone.

Also, Amazon.co.uk have the s7 up now. £570 but no mention of gear vr

Nonot used them before but read around on reviews and even android central(I think) did an article on the deal. They accept Irish cards as they deliver to Ireland. Delivery is £11. Total was £630.98.
Only thing is delivery might take 5 days or so after release which I'm fine with.

Think I might go this option myself

Yeah it looked the best I could see to be honest. Would have been nice to order a sim free with a free gear vr for about €800 but seemed like too much messing about. The free case and what looks to be a decent Bluetooth speaker seems a nice deal for me. Price works out at just over €800 aswell.

Just a heads up regarding unlocked mobiles and their free insurance offer, after the 3 month period is up whichever company they use will start charging you it seems for insurance.

I wouldn't bother with the insurance to be honest or cancel it if you have.

EDIT : Like an idiot I clicked yes to free insurance however I have E-Mailed them and they have confirmed they will cancel it for me on Monday.

EDIT : And it says it right there when you're ordering and I completely missed it. It shouldn't be selected by default but I was fairly stupid for not seeing that when I was ordering.

    S7 Simlocking

Has been brought up multiple times. Personally think it's a non-issue
