Ah some basic questions I don't seem to be able to find the answers to in all the live blogs. If anyone has seen any of this info knocking around, I'd love to know.
    • Am I going to be able to get the free VR headset on contract
    • Am I going to be able to get the free VR headset in Ireland
    • How much is this actually gonna cost in euro

I'd say you probably will, depending on who you order with. Maybe not on contract with everyone, but if you pay full price for a device through Sammy, then probably.

You can buy the basic VR Gear right now for a bit over €100 anyway.

Did they mention if the S7 Edge will be released in + size?

Thanks Basil. I was going to preorder or buy it fairly early anyway, first time in my life I have had enough disposable income to be a stupidly early adopter (although I usually tried to time contract renewals well) and I am looking forward to it. If it was gonna be say 50 quid more expensive from Samsung, but came with the VR, I'd do it.

What size was the S6 Edge+?

I'd get about 800 to 900 bucks here in New Zealand for the Note 5. Another 200 or 300 bucks would get me a sim free s7 edge I'm thinking..

That's good value. I was going to buy the Note 5 in Aussie for $800 new. I might get my olds in NZ to check the price of S7 when it comes out, might be better value.

    S6 Edge+ is 5.7"

I'm not totally sold on the edge screen. I've given my S6 Edge + back to my Mrs, gone back to my HTC M9. The diagonal size of the edge screen is actually smaller, due to the pixels wrapping round, I reckon. i.e. the diagonal size is if the screen was flattened out (I think).

I dunno whether to now buy an s6 edge as they'll no doubt come down a little in price or go all out and buy an s7 sim free

They may have re-introduced the SD Card, but it sounds like Samsung isn't supporting Google's Adoptable Storage in Marshmallow.

I doubt that, especially if the reports of Google working with Samsung on the latest version of touch wiz are true.

You can pre order on Carphone site but not the sim free version and if you want the gear VR it's an extra 50e.

    Think I will check elsewhere

Carphone uk has it for £569 s7 unlocked with gear VR free and delivered on the 8th.

Same as the Samsung uk store.

Could be a parcel motel job

Any chance the S6 prices will drop now? I was window shopping the other day

Have never tried the gear VR before so I'm looking forward to that. Think I'll pre book at the weekend.

Using an old work phone at the moment until I get this! Can't wait

Same as that, tied to the Vodafone network, anyone have any ideas when they'll get stock?

Just seen that Carphone uk only deliver to uk mainland so that prob rules out parcel motel.

Checking the Samsung uk site and you can pre order there but doesn't mention anything about the get VR

The new An Post service AddressPal has an address in England. See recent post on bargain alerts forum

    Worth a punt perhaps.

Personally think you guys are crazy paying well over €700 for one from the UK. No way it will be over €700 here.

Times have changed a lot. I used to buy flagships outright when I lived in the UK. Last one I bought cost £450!

By the way, seems the UK model has Exynos processor instead of Snapdragon 820. Will be interesting to see a comparison.

Nexus 6p costs up to €749 so expect similar for the S7.

I think we are looking at 699e here and I'd say that's with no VR. Also, I don't think we will have much choice in buying it sim free here
