why is flamini starting over coquelin ?

It's a second string team. Whether Flamini or Coq plays is not the issue. The issue is putting the ball in the net.

    What did you expect.

The worst part is that it actually worked for almost 90 minutes now...

Ya think? We're back to being incredibly blunt it seems. Not a first 11 starting but pretty much all make the matchday squad so I don't see strength as the issue.

It's like we can play the ball around the middle and outside the box all we want, but Hull know that as long as they stop the ball entering the box too often they'll get the clean sheet. Sure some will go ahead, but a decent keeper and a couple of committed defenders is well capable of handling anything we can produce.

Sanchez hasn't exactly lit the skies up since he came on. He's been very poor, as he has been since returning from injury. Constantly losing the ball and losing possession.

One of those matches. How did we not score?

That was really poor. If you can't break down a Championship side...

So many useless crosses into the box.

A few ordinary displays from Arsenal players today but thought Hull set themselves up well and refused to be beaten.

Pain in the hole having a replay.

That's pretty much football though. Not many teams can open up a team that just sits back. Leicester score almost exclusively from fast breaks.

We had a lot of corners and didn't create much from them. Our delivery from corners is woeful.

Just what we didn't need a feckin replay!

A replay we could really really do without  Play the kids at the KC and whatever happens, happens at this stage. The league is more important.

Awful result. Last thing we need is another fixture in between big Lge and Champs Lge games. How did Walcott do up front?

Really missed Ozil's invention there today. More than any player I feel

as bad as we were you have to give credit to hull to earn a replay , fantastic saves by the hull keeper !! :)

Crap result, a replay was the last thing we needed. As has been said already, our conversion rate for chances has been well below par for quite some time now. There keeper pulled off a few saves, but none of them were particularly difficult apart from the Campbell free kick.

I haven't got the exact figures, but I'd guess that we have failed to score in quite a few matches this season already. Almost unheard of in Wengers teams in the past.

Yeah he was badly missed, although having Wilshere or Cazorla there would have helped too. We struggled to get passes between Hull players, so resorted to lumping it into the box.

Thought Walcott looked pretty sharp. Welbeck as well, considering his time out. Giroud really made a difference coming on though, he's head and shoulders our best forward right now.

Sanchez with 2 match balls today.

Given his form, would you like him to play against big boys from Barcelona?

I think we have no choice tbh, in form or not, this could be the game where his skill and experience is a must.

We were no where near clinical enough today. Hardly need a repeat. They'd a good chance towards the end though so guess it could have been worse. Match stats say it all 11 shots on target to 1! Their goalie did have a massive game also, not to be making excuses

This game wrecked my plans. If they reschedule the Swansea game (which i booked flights, transport and tickets) don;t think i will get a refund? Holy Molly.

Would have loved to see the Welbeck shot if it wasn't deflected. Looked to me like it was going top corner, don't know if their keeper would have reached it.

We should be able to put together a side like today from our best match day squad to beat Hull at home. Are we actually so reliant on Ozil that him not playing is an acceptable excuse for not beating Hull?

I don't think we're missing Ozil today as much as some are making out. We've been toothless in the league recently too and Ozil has been playing in all them games.

We would create a few more chances with him on the field guaranteed. he hasn't the highest assist/chance creation rate in the league for nothing.

As my local Turkish Barber said to me - "Aaahhh that mans brain work like computer!" :D
He even has a signed photo of Ozil in the shop, legend :)

well we did hit the post and the goalie made some world class saves. Alexis looks awful rusty though. Giroud was surrounded by an entourage of amber and black shirts.

Could have done without the replay, Hull did well, keeper made a few great stops.

Didn't play terribly badly, if not all that amazingly.

Ultimately, I've no need to watch MOTD now. That's about the only thing that can be taken out of that game.

Same for myself, my girlfriend paid for everything as it's a Christmas present and she's upset about it. It sucks alright.

We never know which Arsenal is going to turn up. I don't think we have much of a chance getting past Barca, so perhaps Wenger should have gone for it today, as we realistically have chance of winning the FA cup and the league?
