'If you leave that carton of cream there it is going to fall out and go everywhere' I think to myself on Monday

'You'd better move that carton of cream or you are going to regret it' I think to myself on Tuesday

Wednesday comes and the motherfcuking carton of cream falls out of the fridge when I open the door and goes all over the fridge door, cupboards and floor just as I'm about to sit down to my dinner.

'You deserve that' I think to myself on Wednesday

I just got a letter today from the Revenue customs and excise stating that my Familia Mari Mayans absinthe was seized in pursuant to Section 141 of the Finance Act 2001 on the grounds that said goods were liable to forfeiture under Section 125 of the Finance Act 2001. I don't really know what this means but I assumed I paid VAT when making the purchase. I paid 17.35 Euros for the absinthe itself, 27.83 Euros for the shipping zone 3 charge and and 7.84 Euros VAT. So what charge am I missing, is it just the matter of paying some more cash.

At this stage I would just pay it. The excise is a % of the invoice value, so it's not going to be that much. Bitch to the shipper and they may send another bottle, but insist the invoice shows it as "free of charge" or a very low value so vat and duty are kept to a minimum.

Still doesn't explain why UPS said it was destroyed.

My 4 yr old is mad about fruit, but I can honestly say has never ever let a vegetable past her lips. She is so wily she sniffed veg out that I had blended into homemade pasta sauce. Nothing gets by that child. She recently told me she wants two tattoos. When I asked her what of, she said a skull and a carrot.

    :D

She needs to meet my kids. Carrot mad they are. They might join her in getting a carrot tattoo once they can all get one of equal size and width

If you were smart and feeling passive aggressive, you would just stuff the cream into the fridge and wait until someone who you're annoyed with opens it, they immediately get horrible manky cream all over them and their shoes!!... or if you're feeling a bit vicious you just leave jams jars stuffed in :)

"So I told him then he turned around and he said... So then I said and yer man turned around and he said, so I said... then she turned around and she said..."

Listening to the Off the Ball Six Nations preview roadshow earlier, where they spent the first fifteen minutes discussing the "great craic" that used to be had back when the Irish team went out on the beer after the games, often with the opposition. Basically glorifying the drinking culture connected with the sport. Then again I shouldn't be too surprised considering it gets a free pass when it comes to associating itself with alcohol compared to other rival sports.

How would I pay it though, I don't think I can, once they seize it I think they destroy it.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

I'm so guilty of that... I've been more aware of it ever since I took a selfie in my bathroom mirror and couldnt post it because I had gotten toothpaste and soap all over it:mad:

    Waste of a selfie.
