You have an awful outlook when it comes to football everything and everyone is poor, nothing is ever good enough, your team is top of the league and should be given respect for achieving that with the players they have lost to injury

I don't get why you watch if it's never good

And you didn't address a single thing I did, excellent posting style.

You haven't said anything of note. We are top of the league that makes us the best team in the league at this point.

When I saw the team sheet I knew we weren't going to score. All our best players out, never going to be easy. So disappointed though regardless, we should be further ahead in this league IMO but our away form has been poor lately tbh and has halted us.
Top of the league, but doesn't feel like it. We need our players back if we are going to stand a chance. Chelsea at home next and that won't be easy, could do with a win, another draw won't be good enough if we want to win the league.

Care to answer at what point did you think if we were within 4 of City after a certain run of games that you're being vague about?

    What run of games exactly?

The last 5 teams we've played are in 7th, 9th, 10th, 15th and 17th. As for Stoke, their home record is now 17 points from 11 games, their away record is 16 points from 11 games.
Thanks for that Mr Glass half empty!

22 games played. Why the hell don't we have 66 points!

I thought defensively it was a great display, considering City, Utd and Chelsea got beaten there I'm happy with the point. Great performance from the defence and Campbell. Ramsey, Ox and Walcott were muck today. Giroud worked hard. Cech was brilliant I thought. The Chelsea game is a must win now though.

Ha, if you were given one you'd think it was stale!

I asked someone else a question about a vague statement they made and you jumped in. Now the kumbaya circle has started once you derail an attempt at discussion and the question will never be answered and no discussion will take place except about how my glass is half empty and you're all much better supporters.

In previous seasons with all the injuries we've had, we would have lost at Anfield and Stoke. We've made progress in that regard and that can only be a good thing. Reckon we'll win our next two and maybe then we can start believing...

Button's not happy with the last few weeks, and I kind of get that. We did drop points.

But I think he's ignoring the fact that in every other season, the last few weeks were the time when we dropped from first to fourth/fifth and out of the title race completly.

The conditions were prefect for it. Lots of injuries, tired squad, busy schedule.

We turned draws into wins and losses into draws.

Over the last six games we're top of the form table with 13/18. We did drop points but less than everyone else.

Would you rather trade the wins against second and third in the league for a couple of wins against these teams?

I know, we should be winning every single match.

You're likely the only person in the world who didn't understand what he meant. Personally I think you're smarter than you're pretending to be. Stop trolling please.

When I saw the team I would have expected a draw at best. Our squad is depleted and there was no game changer on our bench for sure.
The defence did well and Cech was great.
I just don't get Ox. He's a Championship player at best now, miles behind Campbell. Walcott and Giroud were very disappointing today and Ramsey was just ok. Flamini did well in his role today I thought. I like Iwobie.

Jatsus do we need players back and urgently.

I wouldn't quite say last few weeks, 13/14 we were top til 24 games played then hit the skids before winning the last 5 matches to get 4th.

Thankfully we beat City but out of our last 10 or so matches it's our only above-par result. I know people here don't like numbers but our last 10 matches have been against the teams in positions 13, 16, 18, 20, 3, 10, 15, 17, 9, 7. That's an easy as a run as is ever likely to happen but we got 18/30 points including an excellent win against the only decent side there.

This time will be different apparently. But Coquelin's done for the season, Ozil has a mystery injury that he'll honestly be back from soon, Sanchez is just lacking match fitness (for a few weeks now), Elneny is too precious to play against Stoke (but let's put him on against Chelsea???) and so on.

When you say that it doesn't actually look that bad. The key is getting our big players back for the run in though. We have been playing the same team basically for the past 2 months.

The away form though is a concern, we haven't been good away in a while now. This will have to improve as we have trips to Old Trafford, Etihad, Goodison Park, white hart lane still to come and our records there aren't great in the past.

In hindsight, without out two best players, away to the orcs in the freezing cold it could have been worse. But I'm terribly disappointed we don't have four points from those two games.

If anyone has learned anything from this season surely they realise there is no 'easy run of games'. Has it not been proven that the league has levelled out incredibly? Saying we dropped points to 11th, 7th, 13th (don't care if this is accurate or not) is completely irrelevant compared to seasons past.

As someone noted...the past two games would have been losses.

The win against City you mean? I'd trade it for holding on against a **** Liverpool side and beating Stoke, yes.

Can you tell me which exact run of games then? I'm not trolling, I'm asking what specific run of games he's talking about.

As for turning losses into draws and draws into wins, which was that today and Wednesday? Because one game we threw away and the other we never looked like winning.

    Have to agree.

    Although I do blame injuries.

Said it all along it will stop us winning the league again this season.

I don't know if you saw, but Ozil tweeted during the match with his feet up, watching the match. No apparent bandaging/moon boot or anything like that. Guess that can be viewed as a good thing.

He said the wins against 2nd and 3rd, your trading one of them City for 6 points everybody would take that

    Seen this tweeted

We've had arguably our three best players from last season out (Alexis, Cazorla, Coquelin) for last 9 games and we're still top. W5 D3 L1

    Done way better than expected

Agree fully with this post in every aspect. Ox needs to be dropped at this stage. I'd start an under 18 over him. Where's Bielek?
Reasons to be cheerful have been well touted above, so I won't re hash them, but I have to say... Petr Cech. Wow! Having a WC keeper really could be the difference.

So the only way to beat Stoke and Liverpool is to not beat good teams? Got it.

I doubt many wouldn't have had Koscielny in our top 3 last season.

We were talking about recent form and I said that the result against City was excellent. Other than that the best team we've played in our last 10 was 7th-place Stoke. Beating Leicester back in September was nice, no doubt, not sure of its relevance when talking about our recent results though.
