Hi ordered a one plus two there and just wondering what people would recommend for a case, need something protective but that doesn't add too much bulk, what do people have with theirs?

I got a leather case from Amazon. Ozrly and it cost £10.49.

Sadly I ordered it after I got a small scratch on the screen on a night out over the Christmas. Grrr.

Nope...no update. Latest software update leaves the same issue. Very annoying. From reading the OP2 forums it appears that the OP2 uses some new bluetooth 1.5 stack (the latest and greatest). But most devices out there don't fully support this yet. Cars especially as they are very slow to update their software. VWs (and associated brands) i appear to be the worst offenders (of course I have a VW).
Usual solution from providers is to go back to 1.4 until support for 1.5 is more widespread but OP2 dont even seem to acknowledge that there is an issue.

Cheers. i've received mine OP2 now and it's working perfectly with my head unit. sorry to hear you're still having issues

When you buy the one plus two on their site do you have to pay any custom charge this side?

Nope, as masturbater said. You do have to pay a steep delivery charge though :(

Anyone having problems with their OP2 slowing to a halt? Like it takes about 5+ seconds to open messages at times and unresponsive when doing so, similar happens with a lot of apps.

I was finding it very laggy lately but more like a spilt second hang, I had rooted at the start when I bought the phone but Exodus(my rom of choice on the one) hasn't been good enough to switch too, but a rom from team razor came good there last week and iv moved from oxygen now.

I've rooted older Android phones, how awkward would it be to swap to another ROM?

Not very imo. All depends on getting the right drivers to get abd/fastboot working.

There's a guide for rooting and flashing twrp here on xda:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3146568

Before you do anything enable developer options and enable oem unlocking or the bootloader won't unlock.

The first step of unlocking the bootloader will completely reset the phone.

Thanks for the info, will have a look into it.

I wonder any custom ROMs support fingerprint unlock? Cool feature and stops me from rooting

Finally, One Plus offering free standard shipping!

Now whether to go for this or wait a few months with the OPO for the next generation of devices.

My phone did the damndest thing tonight. I was calling a 1800 number and it went a little mental. Black screen with the word battery at the top, then froze for a while. I pushed the power button a few times and when it came back on after about 30 secs it looked like it had factory rest. Everything was gone. I rebooted it and all was back though.

In all my years using Android I've never seen anything like it.

posted in the Chinese phone thread by Allyall:

OnePlus 2 £40GBP off with code TUBE40 until Feb 2nd.

    https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/o...eb-2nd.426149/

It's taking the money off for UK orders and it's a pretty compelling price now. So two questions for owners here:

Any issues with it being a UK order from your experience? Know I can leverage parcel motel if returns, RMA's etc needed.

And I want to order a second charger but the stand alone one only mentions one plus one and power back as charge devices, is it the same as the one from the one plus two bundles?

    Thanks much!

Constantly, very annoying to the point of making me start to regret buying it. Hope they sort it soon

So is there a better android phone out there for 350?

I'm having the same issue - has anyone rooted the phone & this issue is then fixed? Was also thinking of just trying a reset. Anyone find this helped?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,889 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

It's the same on rooted phones - seems to be just since the last update to Oxygen 2.2.0 - had no problems before that.
Restarting the phone seems to help, it seems to get slow after being on for 4 or 5 days.

I done a full reset and still get the freezes. Very annoying alright.

Nexus 5x is available from the Google play store. It's on sale until the 12th February.

350 gets you only 16gb and no expandable storage though.

I know but I can't think of any other phone in around the €350 mark so just suggested this one.

And I'm not sure there is better still to be honest, been looking at the nexus 5x and 6p today after hearing about the sale but the main deal breaker for me would be the storage, im using about 36GBs on my 2 at the moment, mostly music, and I like having that memory to play with.

Oxygen rom certainly isn't perfect but not bad, I wasn't getting long freezes being talked about, more like the odd 1 sec pause, but iv switched to Razor and honestly I can see myself holding on to this phone for a good awhile now.
