Swedish police banned from describing criminals anymore...

This have been the case for many years.

When police have given a description of a criminal they have been battered by the media about it, so they just became PC enough for the media to back off.

Swedish media are so PC they will even put a photo in the paper - "the police is looking for this person" - and then they pixel the image so no-one can see who it is!

They even go so far as to "white pixel" photos. This means they use light pixling so a black person appears white. Examples:

Bizarre story yesterday about a Jewish person being stabbed by a Muslim acting in the name of Isis. And on foot of that a suggestion by Jewish authorities not to wear their Jewish garb (skull cap i think) in public.

See, that's the funny thing.. Not one mention of race. Which is the last thing that happens when the perpetrator is white. His name, nationality (that country, generally) and more are brought to the front when he does it.

And rightly so, of course. There are obviously members of our race that act like animals and deserve to be outed. But when they're not white? Nothing is mentioned outside of the crime that took place. In the huge majority of stories. Why can't they be outed? What's so special about them?

It doesn't, but your sarcastic comment assumed they were not. Simply saying "this happens a lot" doesn't do anything to dismiss the theory that it happens with a greater regularity and a greater level of acceptance in Middle Eastern and North African cultures.

As I've pointed out, there are many many people from those areas in western countries now so simply saying it happened in the west ergo it was done by people brought up in the west with our cultural values is inaccurate.

But even if you're correct, there's a qualitative difference between women not being able to crowd surf without getting groped and women not being able to walk down the street or go to a city square without being mobbed, robbed, raped, have their underwear ripped off and and "fingers in every orifice". A qualitative analysis will tell you that the middle east and its people are worse for this, even if a quantitative analysis is difficult to do.

The fact that you managed to dig up articles about girls being groped at concerts, shows this wasnt covered up.

As for the groping of girls at concerts..... bad as it is, it is not organised 100's of men groping,raping and robbing women at concerts.

So yesterday we had Fritzl's actions being used to excuse/ being compared to the Swedish and German "events". Now we have girls at concerts being groped brought up for "look, they do it too"

Anything else?

Some posters need to ask themselves an important question, not what 'taharrush' means, but rather why the word exists.

I often find that the words a particular culture or people have to express themselves, the ones that are unique to it, are often instructive in distilling the essence of a people's character.
From craic to begrudgery or ennui, schadenfreude and mensch, they tell you alot about the psychology and character of that group. So when you invent a word that enters the common lexicon like 'taharrush' (meaning "collective harassment") it should raise an eyebrow.
When 'give the lads a call and we'll head out for a bit of taharrush' is sombody's 'up for the craic boys?' then that culture has a serious problem with women.

Of course we have our own lexicon to describe Nodin's posts too, I believe they're 'whataboutery' and 'bolloxology'....

The attitude expressed here is that cultures don't have problems only differences, except for our culture. And other cultures' serious problems are mitigated by less widespread occurrence of similar problems here.

But you bring up a very important point when it comes to the words of a culture. We have many words for going out on the piss because it's what we do.
