Always a sickner to concede so late but a draw at anfield is always a decent result.

Considering we conceded early, didn't play good at all and in fact we haven't been at our best in quite a while, that's a good point.

Your boy Gibbs chronic as usual. He should be shown the gate and Ox not much better

Disappointed to concede the dying minutes but I think its a good result considering. The rest will struggle at Anfield.

I'm not worried about Leicester tbh. They've stumbled of late and theyll fall away. So long as we are equalling or bettering the rest we'll be fine.

I hate to see him coming on.
Gave the ball away loads again.
    Lacks guts.

    No way.

We were Winning with 3 mins to go and everyone still knew the equaliser was coming.

We were dreadful for the last 20 mins when we should have had the courage to kill the game off.

That's not bottling that's football. Courage to finish it off? It was and end to end game of ball away to Liverpool

Did City bottle it tonight too?

    Chamberlain was worse. Shocking.

We got lucky in the last few weeks with the teams we were playing.

Tonight we finished well and scored three times.

I know people say 'oh we defended for the last 20' but Giroud can do no more after 70 mins, the only subs we have are Ox and Gibbs.

This is a threadbare squad that's always going to finish game poorly.

Over the next few games parity with City etc is a brilliant result.

    Campbell awesome

    Poor tactics sitting back.
Taking Ozil and Walcott off allowed us no out ball. Giroud was fcuked at that stage.

Yes courage to finish it off.

The last 20 mins we sat back and inevitably conceded.

Should have kept going for the 4th.

Anyway bottle probably too strong. Was just angry when we conceded.

Ozil was fcuked too. If we made no changes and faded people will still moan.

Lads we are top of the league, if you can't enjoy a game like that tonight on reflection you never will

    Nobody concerned with Leicester????

    Ox is sooo poor.
His entire plan is run - run - lose ball - walk back - run - lose ball.

    Walcott was also very poor.

    Fair enough on the bottle

Courage didn't come into it, we had courage to go from 2-1 to 3-2. Had we held on for 3 more minutes we'd have praised there courage

We were hamstrung by having a paucity of options up front. Another night Giroud gets replaced by a striker and we can push on. Cant do an awful lot with no attacking options on the bench. Ox came on and was Ox. Fell over and gave the ball away.

We need some LANS. Or better still, actual signings.

    Walcott isn't a great winger..

Gibbs is a defender coming on for 10 mins in midfield. How can people give him sh1t over that?

Ox should be doing better in the final 10. Taking the ball towards the corners, winning frees etc.

Wouldn't have taken both of them off, just inviting trouble.

I saw enough in the World Cup to recognise a very good player.
He gives everything for 90 mins. Workhorse.

And sorry but fcuk this talk of courage.

Fantastic first time finishes from Rambo and Giroud to level it twice.

Courage is standing up to that opening salvo from Liverpool and being cool under pressure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,183 ✭✭✭domrush

Koscielny might be a great defender in his own right but he doesnt have the ability to command and settle a defence like Kompany does

Wouldn't have taken both of them off, just inviting trouble.

Both had to come off Campbell put in a trogan effort, Ozil was wrecked. The crowd were always going to give them a lift the last 10 and Wenger had to prepare for that extra energy with the best options he had in the bench

Ozil and Walcott are not "out balls" though, Giroud is. I smell a row coming on, but I disagree on what you think an "out ball" is.

Overall, always disappointing to concede last, and draw, but a good game tonight and always good to come away from Anfield with something. Klopp has them well versed on how to press, and that upset us tonight.

I really don't get this Gibbs sub thing with 15 to go. I really don't see what he offers. Giroud was exceptional, despite THAT miss. Flamster was very good. Mert mixed the brilliant with the odd WTF moment. Ozil was inches away from some absolute brilliance. Joel is for me now on, an absolute starter. Great performance.

Overall, we're still very strong. And we're still top of the table. So of course, I'm happy, but it's somewhat tempered by that frickin last minute goal!

Gibbs came on and actually kept that ball reasonably well. Ox was a shambles, just hunts for goals whenever there's a hint of a counter attack when we really need to hold the ball up and calm the game down a bit. I hate the phrase but he really doesn't have a football brain.
