So does this mean you can watch something and record something simultaneously?

Yes it does if you have two separate feeds connected

Latest count is just over 60 again, I'm going to need to make sure this thread doesn't ever get deleted otherwise when revenue come after me I'll have nothing to prove that I'm not making anything out of these :)

Ok, I've emailed wetek this morning about ordering 75 of these Openelec DVB -S2, I am not prepared to order anymore than that tbh, providing the previous price is offered again, that would mean in excess of €4700 going thru my Paypal and Revolut acc. I'm sure people can appreciate where I'm coming from. There is quite a bit of work involved in doing these.

Once I get a guaranteed price I will reply to all emails with the price and how you can transfer the funds to me, along with what details I will need for ye all. I will not be replying to any questions about what this box can do or what it can't do, that's what this thread is for. I will set a deadline time as to when monies need to be paid to me and after that deadline passes I will submit the order. No extras will be ordered so if you have shown an interest and don't get back to me with payment and your details, well you won't be included on this group buy then.

This is how it's going to be this time I'm afraid, the first order of 26 was fine but the workload involved in the second of 62 pieces was huge, and if this does happen to be 75, well I can only imagine how much will be in this. I am trying to do it in such a way that it's runs as smoothly as possible.

Nobody can say you're not being extremely generous with your time and effort and I'm sure everyone can appreciate that you can only do so much.
I for one just wanted to voice my appreciation for your willingness to do this.

If all who have have contacted me were to go through with this then I'm up to about 70, so no you aren't to late, however I am going to stop taking emails very very shortly, I wouldn't be fair to turn someone down who has contacted me in time. So I'm stopping taking emails at 2pm today. And when the deadline I set for monies received passes, if I am under the 75units, I'll reopen it again till the 75 is reached.

It will be hard enough to get them to offer the same price again on the other box, there's no point asking them for a similar price on a box that hasn't even been released yet.

Maybe but I'm not getting involved in different orders tbh, I'm assuming it's the price that's the attraction here with this one, when the new play comes out, I'm sure someone can take the baton from me and run with a group buy on that then. The current wetek play is €130 so even if a discount was to be applied to that model, it would still be a lot more expensive that this offering. I don't know much about these devices myself, I'm still only using kodi on it, I haven't even connected up my sat cables to it.

Right so, I'll leave it as it is for the minute now. I wail till wetek get back to me now with a price and take things from there.

Maybe a stupid question but why DVB-S2 (satellite) and not DVB-C/T (cable/terrestrial)?

Because you don't need a sky subscription to use the satellite tuner feature (you need a dish but not a sub), you'd have to be signed up to UPC for the cable to be any use. The satellite tuner along with a USB soarview tuner means you can, if you want. dispense of your current satellite TV package.

    That's my understanding anyway.

Simply because there is nothing to distinguish between both on the packaging so therefore there is no risk of getting them mixed up if I order all of the same, so far in my previous 2 orders of 88 combined there was 2 of that model.. If I need to order one or two of the other type like I did on the first order then if they'll mark them separately for me, then that's fine.

Guys, I'm still getting emails coming thru to me, as I've said earlier I'm limiting this to 75 so there's no guarantees that ye will get on the list, and also, to the two users looking who asked for 10 & 5 units, sorry but that won't be happening I'm afraid.

10 and 5 units ? I'm normally the benefit of the doubt kind of guy but that smacks of looking to buy cheap sell high, you were 100% right to say no there

I've removed the email for the minute as as I've said, I'm limiting it to 75 units and I want to wait and see how many of those who have already emailed me actually go ahead with this. Up to now we don't have an exact price so those who have emailed me just expressed that they were interested. I think the total figure so far is over 70 but I'm certain that some won't get back to me or those who asked for two may only take one.

Keep an eye on the thread over the coming day or two as once I get confirmation back from wetek for a price, Ill be replying to all the emails I have gotten to date and Ill be giving those people 24 hours to get the payment to me if they want to go ahead. At that stage then i'll know exactly how many I will be ordering and if its below the 75, i'll post back here and it will then be on a first come first served basis.
