They certainly have some connection to them. Scroll down the FB page linked above and there are posts from 2013 referring to it as Kiss FM.
sorry about that. i should have been clearer. i was talking about the other station mentioned which closed recently that was on 88.1. someone from that station stated they had nothing to do with this 90s station.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

Nice audio, signal getting out strong around Maynooth/Leixlip/Lucan.

They are certainly using the Facebook page of an old station - a good way to get a head start on the likes as it had 1,900 already. They should remove the old Kiss FM posts though and rename the page (they'll need to contact FB for a rename).

Minor quibbles - there should be a hyphen between "non" and "stop". The web address they are advertising (nonstop90s.com) is already owned by a cyber squatter. They'll need to use a different one.

I've just let the owner know, he is not on boards.ie

Has the station ceased already? In the middle of a song, it just went quiet, and hasn't been back since. That was a while ago.

That happened to me the other day. I tried again a couple of hours later and it was back.

Ah, that's ok. I'm just starting to get into it, so it would have been a shame if it had suddenly ended. I'll try again later so :)

Apologies, I seen your other post. I still find it interesting that your say Nrg on here yet its NRG everywhere else!

But to whom ever is running this new gig, best of luck. Pretty good so far, it's a style I don't think done by anyone else.

Funny you should mention that and your right all the branding, web and everything else was NRG . But yes this account is Legit I never actually noticed that I had registered Nrg

They posted on Facebook that they've just been testing for the last while and that they'll be back soon on 88.1 and with an online stream.

I heard a jock on it earlier. Ronan Devitt I think, called out an 083 number to get in touch? Anyone any details.

Only downside of this station is that its appeal is potentially too broad. Rather than being left alone, that might attract the wrong type of attention.

Also, imagine if The 90s Network applied for another temporary licence and were granted use of 88.1!

we've applied for a temp for october....

Mike - Did the 90s network not dispose of all of its assets circa 2011 ? After a planned temp in 2010 had to be cancelled.

Nope. All still put away neatly in boxes! Only the pc running www.the90snetwork.com is running in the studio for the stream.

Sounds good, I will pop you a mail, doesn't have to be on air, helping out in background just as good.

I have seen stuff by and about Ronan Devitt over the years on internet forums which indicates he has a bit of radio experience. So, what stations has Ronan been involved with?

    Are there any other jocks?
