Not a car I would usually recommend to anybody but with such long test and some tax it really is quite a bargain. I would wager you could get most of your money back with the remaining test etc come Summer time

2004 (old shape) Audi A6 with a fair bit of recent work done and some test for (probably) 1500 quid. A bargain in my books if everything checks out. It looks in very good nick.

The thing is it looks ancient. Call me a snob, the price is right but I wouldn't be seen dead in it, personally. There are many more modern looking cars available and that means a lot to a lot of people. Not me as such, I just think it's ugly.

I thought it looked familiar. He was looking for more money, wasn't he?

Should sell no bother for €400 though with the new NCT

It is ancient. They were launched in the early 90s. I think they are retro cool myself :D

Check if it has the Bosch fuel injection pump and if so, just fill her up with free used veggie oil :D

I'm after a manual again. The Sunny is a great car though, but annoyingly the only real interest in it is from clowns who say they'll only give me 1 or 200 because its for export to their country

Why are you selling it so cheap : O

Good sensible car with German lump and decent test. Good haggle will bring home a bargain.

Good find & nice British car with detuned bmw engine 65mpg is stretching it too far but if that's the only lie it's a good buy with low mileage for year.
    Like the colour too.

I was presuming so. I think in the first gen of the Xantia all of the diesels (and higher end petrols) had hydropneumatic suspension or whatever the more advanced electronically controlled version of it was called

The only reason I'd buy that car would be that it indeed had the maaad suspension :)

How long is a piece of string? As with all cars, it depends mostly on your driving. For me in Dublin in a car of that size and weight in petrol would average me about 25mpg, so in old skool diesel probably about 35mpg

OK my S60 is still rocking along, the history is here somewhere, but I'm rapidly approaching a need rather than a preference for an automatic. MPV or SUV gets bonus points. I can top the budget without difficulty but would like the bangernomics faithful value for money eye looking out for me ;)

Sorry to hear it. Bad back?

Personally if I was going for a bangernomics MPV, it would have to be a Multipla. I know you quite like Italian cars, but I don't know if there are any automatic Multiplas around at all

A grand! Thousand quid for all this. Why would you drive a crap box when you can have this for (presumably after a haggle) less than a return ticket and two weeks car hire to Sweden :-)

One more! 6 months test and a months tax. Still a good looking car with huge spec. Not mention of turbo or n/a, so I assume the latter.

That's one almighty Corolla , 4 original unmarked hubcaps tell the whole story , average 6600 miles per year, if that car was detailed it'd be showroom , a bit of a keeper really for classic collection .

Funny seeing all the cheap bangers on here selling for small money. Most of these cars would sell for upwards of 3 grand over here in New Zealand..

True, but then again insurance in New Zealand is not mandatory + it's cheap if you want it. There's probably no road tax either.
