So lads just wondering what was the final price negotiated on the bulk purchase per unit? Also is everyone running the openelec build or the standard wetek build, besides Kodi and satellite channels I would like to run Andriod apps like Showbox and Mobdro etc.

You can run both of those via kodi too, dont need to have android installed. The last bulk order was for 62 units and including PM shipping, each unit was €63

Plugged mine in last night and loaded some video add-ons. Working great so far, no complaints - straight forward enough to setup with instructions for a complete noob but not sure if I'm using the best live tv pvr whatsit. havent tried setting up the satellite feed but have enough to keep me, the Mrs, and the kids happy for the festive season.

    Thanks again Aquos76

Will there be another group buy?

That would never work from their point of view, there would be no advantage in it for them as they'd have to pay carriage of each individual one then, also they'd be no way for them keeping it exclusively to boards as once the code is given out it would fly around the Internet. To be honest, it was hard enough getting this price the 2nd time around as I think I had three different emails in the end with three different prices.

Now that I've established a contact there, who just happens to be the CEO of the company, I'm probably in a good position to get this price again. I may organise one final group buy in January if the demand is there, we'll wait and see how happy the people who bought these ones turn out to be. Please don't start PM'ing me or posting interest on the thread now though, if I am going to go ahead with another, it's not going to happen until the new year.

Just seen this now, will keep an eye on this thread in January though :)

    Thanks in advance.

You could buy the Wetek with twin dvb-s2 tuners and add a dvb-t2 usb tuner.

You'll need to learn a little more I'm afraid, to access the play store you'll need to install Android on to it.

Openelec and android are very different.

Be careful playing with it and android, can be a little tricky. Openatv or pnenigma are very simple.

Hi lollie, these boxes need a little work. They are not plug & play unfortunately. They come as standard with a naked KODI setup which in itself needs work but that's easy enough. If anyone here jumped on the bandwagon purely for a KODI / FTA satellite solution, then there was no better deal available. The box is worth the effort. You will no doubt read a lot of chat re:TVheadend and the likes. This proves far easier for some than others as you can imagine. YouTube searches and the support on the wetek forum will make it easier to follow.

That said, here is the chat thread setup specifically for feedback and tips on the box. Don't be afraid. Anything you do (pretty much) is easily reversed ;)

Ive linked to some tips on a very easy alternative to the stock setup which will give you a far easier route to FTA satellite channels / android combo setup... If that's your thing:)

    Enjoy!

That's where the file is located. Mega is like Dropbox.

If you don't have a Mega account you need to set one up.

You'd be putting it on NAND, and you can stick Openelec on MSD card.

Remove the 5 philips screws from the bottom of the unit. 4 are located under the rubber feet.
Remove top cover taking care not to detach the wifi antenna as it is connected to the board and the top cover.
Remove the full size SIM card from the board (push click to remove) and then reinsert it fully.
Restart device and see if that helps.

My box went into a bootloop and I had to open it and reseat the SIM card. All sorted since.

My box went into boot loop too. Opened and sim, while taped in place had popped out a little. Reinserted, all god now.

Very common problem. It's an easy fix, thankfully.

Easy fix, but it is a bit tricky popping the box open once the screws are removed. And the wifi cable is v short. Mine actually disconnected and I had to clip it back in place. I'm not using wifi so don't know if I damaged or not. Just be careful when opening
