Anyone get moved on by the Guards while watching the planes at the end of runway 16 earlier?!

Told it wasn't a designated place to watch planes and to move on. Everybody seemed to comply and there was a mass exodus from the area! First time it's ever happened to me! I was going to move anyway because operations were being moved to 28!

Some very hairy landings today! I too saw that EI A320 that nearly went on its side when it touched down!

This is the GermanWings unintentional touch and go!

Jesus Christ almighty. You can see when the gear just touches down that that negative 20 knots smacks against the aircraft that's been causing chaos to the airport.

No, it's only a flight to test the systems on the aircraft. It went out south-west to do some testing and turned back to Dublin a minute ago.

I might be wrong, but it doesn't look as if the ground spoilers deployed which would lead to me to think that they were going around and then touched down.

Anyone know what the outlook is for Dublin tomorrow?

Windy but from a more favourable direction, and less wind speed too so shouldn't be any issues. Runway 28 will be in use.

It's quiet overhead in my house for the first time in a few days. I'm thankful.

Yeah the TAF is favorable. Max gust not above 34kts and from 240 degrees so nothing to worry about.

Looking as if we may be in store for 3 more significant low pressures in the next week judging by current predictions so the fun for flyers isn't over yet.

Why are there 3 Ethiopian planes currently bound for Dublin, almost in convoy over the Adriatic?

They stopover at DUB on their way to the U.S.A.
The LAX flight takes passengers, the IAD and YYZ are fuel only.

Why are there 3 together like that? Why not!
