EI4971 going around (Poor children back from SANTA!) Wind now 220 degrees 34knots max 46knots.

FR673 landed, thought the wind was outside their limits?

Nice to see the children have landed!

Yikes, that is a long journey up to Dublin!

Why not divert to Shannon instead?!

Crews nominate their preferred alternates on takeoff, based on several things including weather conditions. This crew obliviously felt Kerry was a good alternate

or even waterford would have been a good choice would it not?

The wind at Waterford is not good atm (28kts G38kts) and there is no stobart operations to Waterford. It's also possible WAT wouldn't have the equipment to handle an ATR76!

Kerry is the biggest airport of all the regionals with the longest runway (excluding Knock).

    EI169 going around.

I would imagine the stobart will overnight in Kerry and operate the morning flight to Dublin, this evenings Dublin to kerry flight was cancelled so this one will operate the morning sector now I'd say.

I doubt it, considering there hasnt been a diversion to Belfast today nor do they fly there

Auto correct of Freudian slip? :-)

Anyway, I'm passing Dublin Airport in about half an hour. Think I might just switch on Live ATC and pull up for a look.

Haha didn't even notice :D Have made some horrific mistakes on here courtesy of my phones auto-correct!

Winds at Dublin still pretty strong, would be fun to look at all the wobbles.

I'm flying Dublin to London tomorrow AM, any danger of it being delayed?

Winds to have died down, so no weather delays likely.

    EI3275 gone around.
    Diverting to Belfast.

Am at Dublin Airport RWY 16 at the mo. Conditions are vile. EI3275 went around several miles out and was wise to do so. Rain is now very heavy and winds very gusty.

Could be switching to RWY 28 soon.

The current wind might favour 28 over 16 but the conditions will still be very difficult

    Holding.

Wind at DUB now 250 degrees, gradually coming more and more of a headwind. At that wind direction there should be no more issues with RWY28.
