    Winds at Dublin noooottt looking good for tomorrow.

    11pm TAF states :

    Dublin

    BECMG 4am-6am 210 degrees (SSW) 20kts Gusting 35kts
    BECMG 6am-9am 220 degrees (SW) 25kts Gusting 38kts
    BECMG 10am-12pm 220 degrees (SW) 25kts Gusting 43kts
    TEMPO 2pm-6PM 220 degrees (SW) 30kts gusting 47kts.

    BECMG = Becoming
    TEMPO= Temporary

    With a gust of 43knots + From 10am to at least 6pm and that direction I can see serious problems to operations. I think early on the runway is to be dry but later rain is to arrive so even worse then.

    Shannon

    BECMG 9am-11am 210 degrees 25 G 40
    TEMPO 11pm-5pm 220 degrees 30 G 45

    No problems, but a bumpy approach likely.

    Cork

    BECMG 8am-11am 210 degrees 25 G 45
    TEMPO 12pm-6pm 210 degrees 30 G 48

    Winds not at too much of a crosswind, but with the gusts that high you'd never know.

    Knock

    BECMG 8am-10am 210 degrees 28 G 45
    TEMPO 10am-4pm 210 degrees 32 G 49

    Nice crosswind so I'd call some disruption to services, although Knock has dealt very well with previous winds.

    Basically another windy shiity day in which we could again see some disruption.

    Load of ground vehicles flying around the place in DUB, runway inspections?

    Edit: actually it's just a load of ground beacons that I haven't seen before, some receiver needs tweaking?

    EIDW wind "only" 190° 16kts gusting 32 so not too bad yet

    That's a fairky rocky wind :) add 10kts to both and then you get the serious problems. Keep in mind 190 is a complete crosswind to RWY28/10. Of course under that wind RWY16 is more favourable.

    The wind 220 degrees is the worst wind for Dublin operations as an equal crosswind in both RWY28 and RWY16, and that's the wind forecast today.

    The premium section on the website or the paid app?

    I recommend the Paid app,It has alot more information than the basic.

    I never got a chance to post yesterday, regarding the holding in DUB the night before last and the FR341 diversion to LPL, there was a spill of fluids on RWY16/34 and the winds weren't favourable at all for 10/28. I'm not sure whether it was hydraulic fluid or fuel that was spilled but it took about 20 to 30 minutes to clean up before they could allow any take-off or landings.

    Wind is to be westerly and lighter, so they should have no problem.
