It was going grand earlier when I was up there.
They were going well with the odd wide body using 10.

Approach: *expect ILS approach RWY16 eventually*

Weather is good at Dublin atm.

It could be just volume from the Airlines catching up with people whose flights were cancelled.

    Nope all regular scheduled flights.

Busy time frame as it is, but bear in mind runway 16 has no high speed exits. Indeed if I remember, all the exits left to the main apron are also more than 90degrees apart from Bravo 2. Equally the line up is more than a 90degree turn. Wind at ground level can vary significantly from that even just 300ft above the deck.

Well done spotting that. It's certainly not the most common sight in this neck of the woods.

I just came in from BIrmingham a LOT of hanging around in the hold ( at this hour of night ? ) and then landing on 16 , roll right to the end , what was going on ?

When landing on 16 you must vacate onto H1 or E1, so if you miss H1, you're going to roll to the end. I guess the reason is for the ATC ground taxi strategy/procedures.

2 Ryanairs late into Shannon now. 1 from Berlin the other from Krakow. Anyone know the reason for the delays?

Looks like the Berlin one was stepped up to do a SXF-BRU rotation before heading back to Shannon

Regarding the delays & holding at DUB last night I read a tweet about a 'hare strike' on 16 that was the cause for the FR from LTN diverting to LPL. The lack of exits off 16 as someone already mentioned wouldn't of helped it either. I was over for the EK arrival & just before the beast arrived it was certainly a quiet period for arrivals. I presume ATC held any arrival up to clear the lengthy que of departures that were blocking any arrival into the 100 & 200 gates.

It's got 'T'Way' titles painted on now and a South Korean flag alongside the EI reg. Just landed back in DUB a few minutes ago (I'm guessing it was a test flight).

    TP432 / TAP432C
    TAP Portuga

Squawking 7700 departing Lisbon to Paris.

Descented back to 11,000ft and seemingly returning to Lisbon

Watching that one it's just had a missed approach.

TP432 from Lisbon to Paris http://fr24.com/TAP432C/8357613

Seems to be approaching a different runway now

There was a hare strike but that was after all the holding had dissapeared, there was no holding at that stage and all it required was a slightly larger gap.

Landed ok.fire crew doing a visual inspection on the runway.not sure what the problem was.

Doesn't have to squawk 7700 for emergency.

Fire crew doing a visual check is a norm, close to MLW the gear can generate a good bit of heat.

Saw an ambulance heading into the airport as the plane was coming in.
