I'd recommend buying his autobiography, It's a real page turner and quite funny.I always appreciated a comedian that seems easy to relate to, and I think Kevin Bridges is that sort of comedian.
Got it as a xmas present last year.Good read.
    Hes a naturally funny man.
I watched his 2015 dvd this afternoon. Some great laughs in it.:D

    Cool

There's been no mention of Tommy Tierney on this thread as he really isn't funny anymore.

But tbh he was a class act back in his day.

David Mitchell, Jim Jefferies, Sean Locke.. Think you need to be more than just a good story teller!

Personally, I like Sean Lock, David O'Doherty, Dave Gorman, Jimmy Carr, David Mitchell, Milton Jones, Frankie Boyle (although his voice/accent combination can be hard to listen to for too long), and Katherine Ryan (especially when she shows her psychotic side).
This is my favourite Chappelle bit. Not necessarily a closer for a HBO special but I just love how this unpolished bit about Kramer is better than 99% of comedians' best bits. The ending is fantastic.
I can't find anything at all funny about that. I've listened again to the bits just before the laughter but can't locate the humour. I know comedy is subjective, but still, what am I missing?

Well the funny side of it is Chapelle is talking about how his anger as a black man was outweighed by his comedian side which sympathised with Kramer even though he was being racist. A large part of Chapelle's stuff would deal with race so it's funny to see him come at a subject that you'd expect him to be furious about and flip it around.

That's why I like it anyway. It's not his best stuff I wouldn't say but still amusing. Having said that I just like Chapelle - I think when a comedians persona clicks with you for whatever reason you are more predisposed to finding them funny.

Stewart Lee is easily my favourite comedian. Try bits like Margaret Thatcher Scooby Doo, Anti-Islamic stand up, the death of Princess Di and the healthy and safety one.

Don't watch much comedy but also like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Eddie Murphy, Dani Rovira and Dylan Moran.

Anyone in here familiar with the work of Tom Lehrer?

(His comedy, obviously, not the academic stuff!)
