Some people call Bill Burr the poor man's Louis CK, but I think he is far better than him.

Dylan Moran I love, but I was unlucky enough to catch him on an off night at the start of a run in Vicar Street…still better than most even off-form.

Love Rich Hall and Bill Bailey in music mode. Like me a bit of Mickey Flanagan, though he can be a bit repetitive.

    …love him!

Come on guys, let's have some links instead of just names!

    What about the gals?

Doug Stanhope and Dylan Moran are probably my favourites at the moment. Hicks, Carlin and Hedberg were all great as well and sadly missed.

For a slightly lesser known comedian (well at least I think he is), Ron White is worth a mention.

This is my favourite Chappelle bit. Not necessarily a closer for a HBO special but I just love how this unpolished bit about Kramer is better than 99% of comedians' best bits. The ending is fantastic.

I actually find him funny on Countdown but couldn't imagine enjoying him as a stand up. Same goes for Adam Buxton, and Jimmy Carr, and...

Dylan Moran, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Sarah Silverman, David O'Doherty, Jack Whitehall.

There are others, I just can't think of them right now.

I love Chappelle's white guy voice. It always makes me laugh

Seconding Paul F Tompkins. Laboring Under Delusions is a great album, part comedy part autobiography.

Still one of the best 11 minutes of Stand-up I've seen. The guts of doing this in front of a Glaswegian audience.

Demetri Martin, David O'Doherty, Simon Amstell, Flight of the Conchords (though they don't often perform live), Rob Delaney, Richard Herring, Dylan Moran, James Acaster, Andy Zaltzman (really miss the Bugle podcast). I know some people react to her with incandescent rage but I really like Josie Long. Also, the YouTuber Natalie Tran (Communitychannel) is consistently very funny.

Someone obscure you haven't heard of

He was funny when nobody heard of him but since you let the cat out of the bag he is no longer funny! (even though he's doing exactly the same material)

    ...Richard Herring...

Not much of a Richard Herring fan but y'all need to watch him dismantle this mouth-breathing heckler. Fantastico.

I like Richard Herring, Marc Maron and Adam Buxton just for their great podcast work tbh. WTF is a public service.

Kevin Bridges is a funny fcuker.

I'd recommend buying his autobiography, It's a real page turner and quite funny.I always appreciated a comedian that seems easy to relate to, and I think Kevin Bridges is that sort of comedian.
