He was having a ****. I know I was. There's something about seeing women in danger which turns me on a great deal. Consquently, I'm banned from Fossets and Duffys.

Same thing that makes them tear along a wet ,dark country road with 5 people in a Civic.

Past behind her as I was walking dog.
It was stormy. She was there for at least 30mins.
It was a small RTE van with back door lifted up and she and cameraman were standing under it doing filming.
I guess there was a good few takes to get it and hence she was wrecked and drenched.

I agree with you, except for the kayaking video. That's exactly the kind of white water torrent they've been trained to deal with and have in place all the appropriate safety precautions. I watched that in awe of the talent!

That was funny especially when the guy walked behind her with not a care in the world. It was like that other one where they were reporting from boat and people were walking behind them. Stupid OTT reporting

The kayaking video was an organised event attended by some of the best whitewater kayakers in the country. These lads would be highly trained in safety, river rescues and first aid. Hell a lot of them would be in the emergency services. River rescue/mountain rescue etc If something went wrong they would be more than equipped to deal with it. I've recently taken up the sport in the last 6
months. Im on the river 4 or 5 hours at a time 3 days a week and i have my level 3 assessment soon. These lads would have a way higher level than me. Dont knock it til you've tried it.

Yeah, it was great to watch! I can't do kayaking as I'm too blind - contacts out/glasses off and I'm dead

Would LOVE to do what they can do though. I could tell they were brilliant at the sport - one of the most watchable sports out there IMO.

Ah its a pity you cant do it because it is an addictive sport. A friend of mine lost two pairs of glasses in the space of a few weeks on the Shannon.
I love it, as i said, im still new to the sport. We would usually run the lower Shannon at Castleconnell nr Limerick. On Thursday we did not run our usual route because it was decided it would be too dangerous for our level so we stayed in one spot.

There is a risk in Kayaking as with a lot of sports. Lets ban all sports then there can be no accidents.:rolleyes: .

One of the best clips I have ever seen. I still crack up every time I watch it. Teresa Mannion and her 'Don't make unnecessary journeys' while there is a traffic jam behind her. 'Don't swim in the sea' and the guy behind her in his hoodie gives a little wave and heads down the steps to the sea. But the absolute best bit is when the camera changes to the reporter in Dublin and there is not even a drop of rain or a hair out of place. Brilliant. She is a legend!!!!!!
