There were some good bits in it, I did like when Buzz punched Eddie's brother.

The bloody intro is driving me mad though, it's like something from Fair City.

Another great episode last night. Really enjoyed the dig at "Lovin Dublin" with the "Buzzin in Dublin" lad.

He was in the web episodes as a local guy who went to Dublin for college and completely changed.

That might be the best episode I've ever seen of the show, even including the YouTube series. Classic Bucks, Shady Ganley was the highlight for me. :D
    Really ?

I thought the Shady Ganly character added nothing to it.
Dame with the similar type character they had a few years back with a different name.

I thought he was brilliant, but sure we all have different tastes I suppose. I like it when it's just over the top, ridiculous and stupid, and that character fits all three. Love the line from the Viper when he says he was raised by crows! :D

Buzz: "I mean Patti is as perfect as they come. It's just.....she can't handle my mentalness"

    :D:D:D

I thought the episode was only OK. while the episode was funny enough in spots, I had the thoughts that it was starting to jump the shark running around in my head. Brian Kennedy showing up for one. The Viper is putting together a cheap ass music festival and I'm fairly sure the budget wouldn't extend to Brian Kennedy in fairness. He seemed to be there for the sake of it. Also, I thought they pulled a bit of a Lord Flashheart with the way Eddie's brother showed up. The episode overall just didn't sit right with me. I think they've been getting steadilly worse this season and I'm not enjoying it half as much as the earlier seasons or the YouTube stuff. I think they need to keep it simple and get back to the basics. Feck the cameos and the staged events. I do like that they're doing satire. The Buzzin Dublin thing was great. Maybe they need less of a budget again?

We don't see much of the lads as a group chatting anymore, or even hanging out much either.

Having watched it again that sh1te never ending rendition of Smoke On The Water was even funnier the second time around.

Things like where Eddie plans to chat up his ex in the pub, but falls over over coz he's loaded.
Or the COP always has his bike when he enters a building.

Or when they are talking to the interviewers about something deemed important but really isn't important at all.Look at the setting behind a dirty door or in field. I find that funny.

Their use of swear words is very real for area they come from.
Its definitely a rural type of humour I often wonder if city folk wud get it.
On other hand I have mates that won't watch it because its to close to home and resemble their own life.

Last episode in the series starting now.

Doesn't have a vibe at all of a last episode. no kind of 'plot' to it. good to see the lads together though. Viper sketches are very poor

Not a great episode, all over the place.

Though that was brilliant, the other episodes while they were good seemed a bit over the top, this was just back to basics the lads just messing around.

Loved The Boo asking that lad in the gimp suit about turf

Also Simcards Saturday's t-shirt was brilliant :pac:

That was pure class, classic Hardy Bucks stuff.

Overall I though it was good series, the best of the three TV series I'd reckon.

"I've only two weeks, a fortnight if I'm lucky" :D Buzz is the star of the show.
Salmon was worked in well too tonight.

Yup the first 2/3rds of that one were great, just the 4 lads in the house having the craic is what I like the most.

Eddie on the building site was good too but tonights, for me, was the best of the season. The season itself was good in general, I would have rated it below season 1 and 2 though.

Season 2 I think is some of the best Irish comedy produced, right up there with Father Ted, and Season 1 is very understated too but very good I reckon.

Will we ever see them again though?

Well hopefully they'll reshow the Christmas Special at Christmas anyway.

The scenes with Buzz & Eddie this series were up there with the best the two lads have ever been, the dynamic then between them and the two girls made it even better too. The only down point of this run for me was The Viper, didn't laugh once when he was on the screen.

never disagreed so much ! sorry. bar a few scenes, the relationship and banter between the lads has been very poor.

i agree about the Viper though

Have to say I really enjoyed this season. Not enough uncle Mick though, down with the viper.

I'd actually have uncle mick second to buzz, always have a laugh when he's on.

He is brilliant. I like that the main protagonists, Buzz, Eddie, Toastin, Boo, Viper Salmon and Mick have all remained around.

Characters that I miss are Alouisious, Scorpio (may have appeared a little bit this season), and Lexus.

    Could watch this all day!!

    Favourite ever Hardy Bucks line

Buzz: Bisshkits...Have you any bishhkits Noirin
    Noirin:I...have
Buzz: (not even looking at her) Get them..!

Thought this was the weakest season so far, Buzz was brilliant but found the overall plots were quite poor, Viper was particularly weak. A lot of the secondary charachters didn't get much screen time either, Sim Card and Salmon are brilliant but weren't in it much. It's better when it's just the lads going on the piss having the craic, the episode in the pub was my favourite as it was closest to the first 2 seasons and the internet episodes, the festival episode and the sci-fi convention episodes were very weak.

Although I would say season 3 had the funniest scene ever imo. When Ciara was leaving the cottage and she shouts "I love ya Eddie Durkin" and he replies "sound yeah"..had me in stitches.

Always feel The Viper has taken on too big a role in the newer series compared to the original stuff. A character that is much better in small doses.

yeah, fully agree. He is much better as lurking in the background antagonising the lads. The shop thing should have been a one episode idea. Season long plots don't suit this programme. I genuinely can't think of one scene this season where I laughed hard at the Viper. His stupid participation on Republic of Telly has dimished the character big time.

Thats why the likes of Buzz, Toastin, Salmon, Big Mick are the best characters --they aren't over exposed and we only see them as Bucks characters. Viper is just a caricature of his former self now! The show needs him though!

Don't know. Might not be any time soon anyway. There was a 4 year gap in between series 2 and 3. Didn't think it was that long myself but just checked. They did the Hardy Bucks movie in the middle of that though.

His stuff on Vine is absolutely brilliant though, don't know how often he puts new stuff up on it but have a look through it and there's some gems in there.

The Protestant Eagle and Black Saint ones are the best.
