Not looking forward to the drive home from work this evening once bad weather kicks in the n7 goes into full retard mode.

Think I'll try happily cruise in the slow lane, in saying that I put on the cruise control this morning sat in the slow lane at 90 and undertook cars sitting in the middle lane and overtaking lane the whole way until my exit people are morons.

What are you meant to do go into the overtaking lane drive slower and have every one sitting bumper to bumper like they do.

I work unsociable hours so I can only imagine what it's like working a 9 to 5.

Went out to dip the car for oil at 4.45pm and it was practically dark. Still reading just over half way on the dipstick so not too bad I though it would be lower. Weather is terrible here has been most of the week I suppose looking back it wasn't a bad week to have a study week easier to study when it's raining and you don't want to go outside.

Been looking for the disptick on one of those for years.... must've been behind the wheel because I still can't find it.

The oil filler cap has an integrated dipstick if you get what I mean a two in one I couldn't find it at first either as it just looks like an oil filler cap not a dipstick. When you put the keycard in and checking engine functions comes up on the display if you press the up or down button on the end of the wiper stalk it will display oil level on trip screen.

Look for an RX8 with a carpark dent in the back. Possibly going backwards at the first corner.

"Looking for a nearly new van? We've one for auction tomorrow, Saturday at 10.30am ... 151 Renault Traffic LL29 DCI 115 Business Panel Diesel with just 17,172 km on the clock! "

Sold for 17k like... so I fail to see their business model

Well he says in the ad it's 18k plus vat which would be 23% the auction price might have been including vat which would make a good few thousand difference.

Tax disc itself has an expiry date on Jan 2016 even though the form says it commences in Jan 2016.

I have Matador MP46 tyres on my yoke, have for almost 2 years now. They were cheap, in and around 100e a corner for 18". And they're great. I was only driving last night, in the ****e and wet weather, the temp was reading 4.5degrees, definitely not ideal for summer tyres. And yet they were gripping well, and no hint of issues when braking aggressively. From what I read about them before buying, they wear quite fast, but sure they'll last me about 20 years at my mileage :p

Perishing/hardening/glazing will finish them off long before they hit the wear limits I'd say.

Caution- "glazing" may just be something I made up. You see some people's tyres that only get light use and the surface looks smooth like hard plastic, kinda slightly greyish rather than black rubber... Or you look at the back tyre of a sports bike and you can see that it looks like it has seen serious actions - colour is blacker, surface is more matt than glossy.
Again.. maybe this only exists in my head. Either way whenever I take herselfs car for an italian tune up I throw some heavy braking/launches etc into the mix to expose some fresh rubber.
Considering you do even less mileage than her afaik, you may as well light em up every now and then :-)

Feel free to tell me it's all in my head! You may be fine as it's just that you do low mileage, but you do drive it when you get the chance - it's not just Mass and the shop and back :-)

I was at Applegreen in Rathcoole today and some girl in a Mini decided to reverse out of the petrol station and merge onto the N7 using the entrance to the petrol station :pac:

The worst thing is the petrol station was empty and there were no cars in her way to use the safe exit which I used like 10 seconds later after she left.

It actually worries me I have to share the road with these kind of drivers

Ah when I do drive, it's driven on, no worries about anything like that.
