Rangers v St Mirren in the Semi final of the Petrofac Training cup today. Hopefully shake off the lackluster performances of late.

    Team news:

    12301502_1039245179473503_7543818135928339069_n.jpg?oh=6f4470a59a13f53f5df6717c23973c2a&oe=56D98271

So far so good imo, more willingness to shoot from distance, passing it around well too.

    Goal is coming I feel.

Holt makes it 1-0, about time. Some shocking misses leading up to that.

Rangers go one up from Holt wee ball over the top everyone stops but Holt gets behind the defence and sticks it past Langfield who goes been playing really well today

Two up now Waghorn with a sharp pass into the box and Miller was there to stick it away

Game over a good run from Waghorn and he sticks it away from the edge of the box 3-0

And just to put the icing on the cake its 4-0 after Shiels makes a run and slips the ball across the goal and young Sean Kelly sticks it into his own net.

    Game finished 4-0

Easy and well deserved win, roll on the final :)

Decent win yesterday, nice to see the team puck up their energy levels again.
I wonder was John Collins or Ronny Deila watching? We seem to be their comfort blanket of late.

With regards to the Living Wage, we need to be careful, won't we just run out of money quicker?

The premier league should be more competitive next season with Rangers back in and hopefully in a couple of years the teams will perform better in Europe. Do you reckon Warburton will have money to spend for next season?

There's no reason to believe he won't. He made it clear he wan't going to spend money needlessly and so far we are doing ok. There are concerns over our defensive frailties that the fans hope will be addressed ASAP. Most believe there is still lots do be done on the park but it won't happen overnight and with a fledgling scouting system in place. But hopefully things will continue to improve.

He will, but I hope the club doesn't make the mistake of trying their hardest to outspend Celtic by paying ridiculous amounts.

I trust Warburton to get good players for relatively little money, as he has done so far.

How has Martyn Waghorn been getting on up there lads? I liked him as a kid at Sunderland and thought he'd be able to forge out a career in the Championship for himself, but he seemed to stall a bit when Sven took over at Leicester and I lost track of his progress to be honest.

He is doing really well not an out and out striker though but he has 18 goals so far this season think about half are penalties. His movement is great though

Waghorn is one of the best players in the squad, and what a bargain he is proving to be.

18 goals in 21 appearances is an insane goal scoring record in my opinion.

You wont need tp pay ridiculous amounts to outspend Celtic, thats for sure

Don't know about that, I can definitely see Celtic step it up a few notches when Rangers get promoted, to ensure there is a sizeable gap for the foreseeable future.

At this point it doesn't make sense for them to do so from a business perspective.

Two changes Clark and Ball in for Wilson and Miller

Rangets go a goal up with 90seconds of the second half starting ball into the box from Tavernier and Holt heads it into the net

Waghorn put Rangers two up with a lovely curling shot from the edge of the box. And that make it 19 so far this season for Waghorn

Number three for Rangers nice build up play and the ball slid into the box and Oduwa slides it in 3-0

What happened Ibrox last night? Has the failure to maintain the old lady lead to her flailing and failing?

Rangers will be implementing a living wage for all staff.

Nice job, well overdue but understandable due to the mess off the pitch that it took so long.

    Well played Rangers.

Not that bad, it was just really windy and some plastic from the roof came loose, was fixed pretty fast.

The ground does need to be renovated a bit, but it's not like part of the roof came off so the game had to be postponed ;)

More money, more transfer budget, higher profile, better standard, bigger club etc... would be strange if they came looking and he didn't go.

Money well he doesn't really need it but hey ho. Of course bigger transfer budget it's England bigger club just lol. All pretty pointless as he said he is not going anywhere and asked the Scottish media to stop asking Thame question he has answered time and time again. Oh and Fulham have come out now and said they are not interested. Plus maybe just maybe he believes he has started a job at Rangers and wants to take it as far as he can.

He's talked about Rangers as a "project" since starting, I think he's the kind of guy who likes to set hmself a test and take it from there. He'll see out the season.
The challenge for Rangers is to convince him that he wants to continue the project next year.
