Double jaw surgery after 6 months from now, What should I do with my body in-between?

    So I'm gonna have a double jaw surgery after around 6 months or so from now, that will require me to be on liquid diet for at least 6 weeks and soft food after that for a while also no workout for at least 2 months,
    Which will lead to losing a lot of the body weight.
    Any ideas or advices of what should I do with my body from now till then? I don't wanna start doing something and then I will be losing it all when I do the surgery

    Body stats 5'7 with 66 kg skinny body fat around 25 to 30%

    also has anyone done it? quite nervous about the whole thing

    If there is no limit on the amount of liquids you can take then losing weight isn't inevitable. You could drink a lot of milk, smoothies, protein shakes and other things that are calorie dense. A pint of full fat milk on it's own would probably have about 300 calories in it. Drink 3 pints a day, which isn't a crazy amount, and that's probably close to half the calories you'd need to maintain your weight. Plenty of protein as well in case you're thinking of lifting or any sort of strength training.

    So you don't want to be in TOO good a position in 6 months, in case you lose some of it?

    The other option would seem to be to arrive in 6 months time in "ok" shape, so that when you do go on a liquid diet you don't end up going from great to good, because that'd be disappointing?

    ...and even if you are liquid only, that doesn't mean guaranteed weight loss - milkshakes and protein be your friend.

    The diet will only really cause issues in the initial post surgery period where the wounds from the surgery will still be fresh. Once they start to heal you should be able to get whatever food you want/need through shakes and soft foods.

    In terms of losing gainz, if you don't do much between now and then and have surgery in a poorish condition you will definitely end up in poor condition. If you spend 6 months focusing on getting yourself into decent condition, then maybe you will only go back to ok condition. The minimum work you need to do to maintain muscle is usually considerably less than the work it takes to build muscle.
