Speedlink UK Layout Parthica Core LED Illumination Gaming Keyboard - Black

How in the name of God did "under €150" ever become an acceptable description of "budget keyboards"??!?

Haha, was only a matter of time before an elitist swept when!

Theres no way in hell I'd pay €150 for a keyboard right now, I wont be using it for gaming, mainly just to type.

I've never used a mechanical keyboard so I don't know what I'm missing!

Most people seemed to do just fine with membrane keyboards before mechanical keyboards became the recent craze.

More money than sense, theirs always a market to cater for it.

I've narrowed it down to the Perixx PX-1100, some German Brand.

Suits my needs well, and seems to be well reviewed, not the nicest looking but meh.

If theres a lightning deal on this I'm laughing. Hope it doesnt come with the model number written on the space bar.

My keyboard is a €15 Chinese one....and it's perfectly fine, never hindered me in games in the slightest.

Quick question, an 80mm gap between each fan hole = 92mm fan right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Yes. Centre hole to centre hole = advertised fan size - 15mm.

    (usually)

Thanks, an excuse to grab more Noctua's to justify buying from Germany :P (Grabbing a 92mm fan for a rig I'm throwing together to sell on).

I won a good few lans, clanbase cups & team matches (ut2004) using this wireless keyboard that came with an Aldi PC (medion) from ~2005.

So lads, Crimson, anything of note? Seems my 7870 is one of the oldest group supported.

Apparently pretty decent gains in most titles on the driver front.

Has anyone here bought a Fury? Not the X? Impressions?

I really want to upgrade my 7970. The Fury is kinda tempting if the price is right. I was gonna get a 970 but I don't like upgrading the CPU or GPU's unless I'm getting double the performance of my old one and the Fury is pretty much double a 7970.

Don't think I'm gonna be able to hold out till Pascal or Arctic Islands.

So... ready to buy (the guts of) my new system!

Oh... no Visa. Fair enough. PayPal it is then!

Its not like I haven't used it in seven years or anything! All I need to do is remember my password... or maybe my security questions...

....nope. I know them, but PayPal doesn't want them.

So... now I have no new PC.

I never use paypal. To be fair, what would I need to use it for? The only thing I can think of is ebay(which, again, I almost never use) and they let you use a guest login with paypal to pay via credit/debit card.

Also, last time I ever stray into a discussion about pc building/upgrading outside boards! Had the gall to mention that maybe AMD graphics cards had some merits on another site and I swear I could picture spittle flying out of the mouths of the people responding to me with the venom their posts were written.

All I said was that people should choose the best performing card for their budget, whether that be nVidia or AMD.

I have 3 mechs lying around in my home, Filco Majestouch 2 TKL w/ Granite DSA Keycaps, Pok3r w/ EVE DSA and an old Thermaltake Meka that I've been meaning to sell.

All that said I really want a HHKB Pro so maybe I have a problem.

I really want a TKL / 60% keyboard with Cherry MX Blue / Green switches, Red LEDs and a removable USB. I don't ask for much.

Hi chaps, I have a HTPC. I had an i5 4440 in it since I built it last year which was wasted really cos all it ever does is play moves. So my son wanted a gaming PC for christmas so I bought a pentium g3260 to put into the HTPC and took the i5 out for the gaming PC. Problem is since I put the pentium in the HTPC its pretty sluggish. I wasn't expecting this. Its freezing up a lot and hitting 100% cpu usage a lot. Alot of programs aren't responding at all. Is there anything I can do about this, would reseting or reinstalling windows 10 help or do I need to get a better cpu?

What are you doing with it exactly? It's a really fast CPU for everything except gaming, and even for gaming it's pretty good for a lot of games. If you're just web browsing, movies, that sort of thing, it should be completely indistinguishable from the i5.

Yeah that's what I assumed but it's really not working at all. Takes an age for the PC to be ready to use once the desktop is loaded and when I try to open programs the process starts and just continues for ever. It's like I'm back in the dark ages of computing.

It's literally a pc just to watch films on. That's all it does. Runs kodi. Kodi won't even load though. I'm trying a windows reset in case some settings where for the i5 and the new one doesn't like them.

Maybe the heatsink isn't seated right.
