Right, attempt no. 2 at Christmas party dress :) let's hope this one turns out nicer when it's on :)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6034073/uploads/attachments/161540/368864.jpg

This arrived and is gorgeous :)

It's darker than the pics, more of a true red than the orangey tinge it has in the pics. I'm 5' 0 so even with my heels I'll need to get 2/3 inches off it. Going to get it taken up so that's floor length on me rather than ankle grazing as in the pic.

As an aside, the zip it very stiff. When I have someone to help it's no problem but I cant zip it up alone. Any tips on what can help this? I won't have any help on the night unfortunately! It's like it gets stuck where the skirt seam meets the bodice seam. It's fits well and isn't tight, it's just getting the zip over the seam by myself that I'm struggling with! Thanks in advance :)

Pencil lead will loosen up a stiff zip.

Vaseline along the zip maybe? Unreal dress btw :)

Lovely dress. Do you have a link for it by any chance? I can't see it on the site.

Thank you, unfortunately it is very old stock and I bought mine on eBay. There are a good few of them on eBay at the minute.

The style name of the dress I bought is the "Slinky wrap dress", it comes in various colours red, black, oxblood, khaki and possibly more.

Got this about 2 weeks ago in TK Maxx for about €75. The website doesn't really do it any favours as it's quite smart in the flesh.

Ordered a Goyard Saint Sulprice today. You have to order them directly from their shop in Paris over the phone or email as they don't sell online but it was far easier that I thought. It should be here Tuesday. I got it in red it was that or navy but I think red will age better. I couldn't find any good pictures but it just like this is red.

Was in the US recently for work, so of course I went shopping. Bought lots of standard worky stuff as well as a few nice bits

Love Moschino brown leather gloves, $80 in Century 21

    img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=65680201

A pair of Kate Spade purple patent leather ballerina style flats for $35 in Saks Off Fifth Avenue. The photo doesn't do them justice, as they're actually quite structured

    s-l225.jpg

This adorable Tommy Hilfiger fox jumper - thin yet cosy. $40 approx in Macy's

Under Armour training shoes, appox $50 in the outlets on Black Friday.

I haven't bought clothes in ages, mainly because I'm 3 months pregnant and afraid to buy anything as maternity is too big and I'll be too fat for regular clothes! I picked up these slim leg Roxy jogging bottoms in TK Maxx today, for only €12.99! At least I can wear these for a while! Will be making my way to Topshop maternity section after Christmas for a few pairs of jeans!

I bought this dress in Enable Ireland charity shop on George's St. It's size 8 so is nice and figure hugging. I'll wear it with a petticoat to flare out the skirt. It will look fab with my red 5 inch patent high heel pumps. I'll probably wear sheer nude pantyhose. For this look I think I'll go blonde with either a red alice hairband or a big red bow in my hair!

Yes! I wanted a pair when I was 15 but my mum wouldn't buy them for me. Only had to wait 12 years :pac:

Got myself sorted with a waterproof jacket and trousers so light footwear was the last thing to get. I placed an order with Sports Direct on Monday, which was my first time dealing with them and it was delivered today- so very impressive considering it's Christmas week. Got the above for €27.60 excluding delivery.

I'm the most organised I've ever been for a crappy winter and it turns out to be one of the warmest, if not the warmest December on record :/

Just ordered these from the Schuh sale. Was admiring them in the shop a few weeks ago. Only €33.25 if you include student discount (my Unidays account still thinks I'm a student, yay!). Reduced from €73.00, not bad!

I needed new shoes and boots that would be suitable for work. My only criteria is that shoes need to be reasonably comfortable and must have leather outer and inner.

Novella low cut ankle boots from Carl Scarpa - €89

    1_3_290.jpg

Gabor high cut shoes (or low cut ankle boots) - €80 in Thomas Patrick

    Gabor3521217BlackSuede03.jpg?v=1440166597

Finally, a pair of black courts from Clarks €50
