Who decided to give storms male rather than female names?kinda took the edge off them.
Not too bad here yet anyway, starting to get gusty.
They're both male and female names aren't they?

Calm dry evening here anyway. For now...

Relatively calm up here in the far north

Less Storm Barney here and more "no stronger than any other windy night back in the day before they started naming storms" Barney.

Although, I feel I may trek over to my GF. Electricity gone and down to the last dregs of her battery on her phone. But she insists that she is fine, that the Yankee candle I got her last week is coming in handy, and not to bother risking the spin.

Storms have been named for decades. If the power is out, that's a stormy wind.

I only ever buy Confederate candles. Is that why I don't have a girlfriend?

(I have never heard of Yankee candles.)

Theres a trampoline on the N11 - maybe its yours?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

One of our wheelie bins cleared a 4 foot fence - found it in a ditch at the bottom of the field. Would loved to have seen it happen!

I suspect the shape of our house, and exposed location, are causing mini whirlwinds at the corners. We had a heavy wood cabin flipped before, took 3 of us to right it.

I just landed in Dublin airport, rocky enough landing! Seems grand here though. On the bus back to Cork now. My Mother says it's very bad in Kerry!

What happens when Abigail and Barney mates? Or they have a threesome with Clodagh?

Bit windy earlier on the way home but no delays at all on the motorway.. if anything traffic seemed a bit lighter as presumably everyone left early today.

No power outages, no trees down, quiet again now...

Bit breezy earlier. Our electricity didn't even flicker and the phone/broadband is grand. Lucky old me!
