    45,000 homes without power so far apparently.
    Who decided to give storms male rather than female names?kinda took the edge off them.
    Not too bad here yet anyway,starting to get gusty.

    We have electricity but I went to the ATM and it was so windy that my cardigan was blowing around my head and my money tried to escape as well. I was glad that I hadn't worn a skirt :pac:

    Were you just wearing a cardigan ? If so most ATMs have cctv nearby.

    Pretty wild here but still have power. Hope it doesn't cut out. I've loads of typing to do. Gonna drive to the shop now and get some stuff for sandwiches then hole up for the night. *sends mind beams to the roof slates to stay put*

    My neighbours actually jerry rigged a big washing line assembly for themselves last evening. The must have completely forgotten about it because I looked out at lunch time today and some of it was left thrown around the back, god knows where the rest of it is.

    had to walk down to the doctors, 20-25 odd minutes there. never been pelted in the face with as much dirt and tree debris in my life. it bloody hurt

    Had planned to light the fire tonight. Luckly I started very small just in case. Fire went off like a rocket with a massive draw up the chimney then the whole process reversed :(

    Saw a black shape fly across the garden. Wasn't sure if cat or something else. And if cat, not sure if airborne or just running. Cat is inside now, anyway.

    I got a big wet leaf to the face a while ago!


    Roads are covered in massive branches and trees that have fallen down. Be careful people!

    Lots of downed trees out there. Came across one completely blocking the road on the way back from work. I felt like a hero when I was able to whip out a polesaw from the back of the van and then with the help of a few other motorists was able to clear most of it off the road. It was very lucky it didn't come down on someone though. Dangerous out there.
