That doesn't look like a go-around, no approaches made. I think they are just swinging around go make an approach from the west.

    Ah ok

Why are Russian aircraft still taking off from Sharm! Really makes no sense.

Just watching N45998 departing for Rostov now.

Flight PS5012 to Kiev hasn't moved in a while.

Why wouldn't they be? If they have decided that it was a bomb, then there is a lot that they can do to enhance their security and allow flights to operate. The knee jerk reaction of the UK doesn't actually help anyone.

But it is sad to see Air Arabia routing over northern Sinai enroute to Beirut at FL360.

I just seen a Virgin Galactic "White Knight Two" flying through Nevada, close enough to Edwards AFB...is that uncommon?

They've made a few visits to Linton-on-Ouse in the past year, I think it's familiarisation training for the RAF for the T-6 ( Gucci version of the PC-9 ) that will be succeeding the Tucano.

The RAF originally wanted the PC-9 back in 1985 but awkwardly Shorts had teamed with EMBRAER, so they've had to make do with a second-choice for the past three decades. Now the T-6 is being heralded as a wonderful new thing :)

Sounds like Enda's putting the invasion plan into action ahead of the 1916 anniversary! :)

Cobham flight inspection Beach aircraft doing some kind of test in Shannon.

Here's something I've noticed and have been wondering about for a while now, why do planes route away from the east coast of Britain even though in some cases they are flying to Britain. For example KLM37G en route to ABZ at the moment. It always seems to be, at least when I notice it, that they are flying from Holland. There's another plane which has its callsign blocked flying over Scotland now from Rotterdam.

Considering that the first assumption regarding Metrojet was that it was hit by a missile, do you think that sites like FR24 should have all flight details blocked?

Someone with the resources to fire a missile to that altitude isn't going to have a problem obtaining an ADS-B receiver.

Just took a peak and filtered FR to show only SSH traffic - I see EasyJet sending titan 767, however it looks like it's diverting to Cyprus as well as Thomson 737

how do they manage to serve 10 million pax a year if they're overwhelmed by what now looks like 4 departures an hour? Security personnel squeezing every last penny out of tourists before place is shut down for good?

Well they already cancelled a tonne of flights and those pax are still at the airport, plus the unusual circumstance of all bags having to be taken and stored as they are not being put on flights it's not quite your regular day

I think there is some extra repatriation flights from SSH too, hand luggage only apparently (saw that on another forum, possibly a.net)

True, but the receiver will only give them the hex code, it wont give them the aircraft details.
